Default Powerstoke front shock mounts?

What are people using for the lower mounts? The mounts that come pre-installed on the shocks are too wide to fit in the control arms, but the ball-joints that come with the universal mount kit are sloppy((https://www.prolineracing.com/perfor...rdware-kit.asp)

Are you using something else? Making the stock lower mounts work?

The stock mounts worked fine for me.

mine won't slip into the slot of the mount holes, only the ones in the kit would. I have the same problem with the powerstroke XT's in the rear. I have push a 5mm socket into the slot on the lower control arm to open them up enough to slip the shocks in.

Mine were snug, but I don't remember it being too much of a hassle.

Spreading the plastics to put them in is fine. Just ensure nothing is binding and that the plastic isn't too stressed. It should be fine.

I had the same problem and made mine fit by swapping in Traxxas hollow balls from some rod ends I had in my parts bin.
