Must do mods for durability / common breakage? Hi all, Searching around on a few forums, I didn't find a thread like this for the Rock Rey, but if one exists, please let me know and I'll request this to be deleted... Wondering if we can get a list of "budget friendly do-firsts" for modifications. What I mean by this is, truly common breakage vs nice to have. (I know we'd all love a fully aluminum truck... :twisted: So far in my research, I've found:

Re: Must do mods for durability / common breakage? If you are planning on running 3S, well, good luck. I am not kidding when I say my truck has broken every time I drive it. I would say Exotek diff cups and probably the metal rear axle third member/front diff housing are a must. Ive blown out my stock rear diff cup and had sheared off 3 of the 4 screws on my front when I went to install a locker. One of the pinion bearings in my rear axle exploded the other day so the pinion started walking around inside the housing and mess a bunch of stuff up. Bought an SSD 3rd member. |
Re: Must do mods for durability / common breakage? I have the kit version the only problem I ever had was the servo horn came off. Only running a 2S. |
