| Help! Center gearbox filled with sand!
Finally got my truck out to the beach and when I came back after a few runs, I noticed the drivetrain felt sticky and rough. Tore into the truck and found the center gearbox was just packed with sand. It is hard to imagine how so much sand got in there. Anyone else having trouble sealing the center gearbox? Any tips on what to do? I am guessing it is allowing sand to enter from the bottom. Although the plastic case doesn’t seal tightly all the way around, it doesn’t have visible gaps either. Thanks!! |

I haven't had any problems with sand. But then I really only drive in dirt, rock, and grass. I'm several hours from beach sand.

I dont have the RR so I dont know why its filling with sand but I can say all of my go fasts that have seen sand have needed a tear down to clean the sand out. Sand is just so small its easy for it to work its way in. After having to clean up a few rigs I'm done driving on sand, its just too much work to clean up. |

I guess I'll try taping up the hatch on the bottom of the truck. | |
