Default Lafayette area crawling

Hello there I jus recently found out about the kits that you can now buy for rc rock crawling. I am looking into get into the sport. But im curious if there is any where near Lafayette that i could run the truck and actually get some good use out of the crawler. Cuz ive been told that in south Louisiana if you see a rock most likly its been imported. So are there any crawler tracks that anyone has made or any known natural rock areas near lafayette. So any help would be great thanks....

i thought about buying a crawler also....shannon (cajun r/c owner) would carry more parts, if he saw an intrest, i stopped by big boy toys the other day, they appear to stopped carrying anything thing other than traxxas cars, a few planes, and align helicopters.....they used to have a place in lafayette called "jeep trails", in back of posados mexican restaurant on ambassador caffery, they used to have piles of dirt and rocks, but dont remember how to get there, was over 10 years ago....used to jump our bmx bikes there....

I agree! Years ago when BigBoysToys was on the other side of Andy's jewelers they had a great selection of rc's but this new owner is in love with Traxxas.

I haven't been to Cajun RC is a long time (Shannon is an ass) but they did carry Traxxas, HPI, Losi, Associated and a decent amount of parts at one time.

IMO it's hard to beat the on line hobby shops, the prices are better and I don't have to hear "this Traxxas part will only work on a Traxxas rc".......They have no imagination!
