Default Guys running ar60 axles

Have any of you guys running the axial ar60 axles had any problems with axle cases breaking on the longer side at the shock/bottom link mount? I wanted to put beef toobs in my axles but beginning to wonder if its really worth it. They are $23 per axle. I know some of you really pound on them. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem.

My wraith gets jumped a lot and I have never broken a tube. Plenty of cartwheels too.

What would you say? Should I bother or not. Im going to be using my truck for the same thing as you. Your opinion? I want to say im not going to bother only because of the cost and I wont have them from a few weeks. should have all my parts this weekend or at least by Monday. ide really like to get this running soon.

If you don't break you axle, as I never have, why bother?

They are not necessary....at all

I've seen a few posts talking about it being a weak spot. But it all depends on how bad your abusing it. Almost everything on my poison spyder has been made bomb proof other then the axles. My son has a ridgecrest and ive beat it rather hard and have never broke one. I think its a waist of money myself , but just wanted some opinions.

I have seen one picture of an ar60 broken where you are talking about but I really don't think you need them. If beef tubes weren't already popular from the scx10 axles I don't think they ever would have caught on with ar60s. The scx10 axle benefits from them but the gains are negligible for the ar60s. Just do the regular stuff like Cs and knuckles and make sure you replace the self tapping screws that hold the bearing caps and Cs on with M3 hardware. I clock the C one click past the stock max and drill a 2.5mm hole for the new m3 bolt. Don't tap the plastic, just let the m3 bolt make its own threads.

I was thinking the same thing. The tube have the same weak spot due to the through holes for the shock lower link mount fasteners. I would think its better for weight then anything else. I have aluminum chubs knucks and rear lockouts coming in the mail. Thanks for the input. Im going to opt out on the beef toobz. Besides that I can make them cheaper then I can buy them if I really wanted to put them in.

Everett has the Vanquish housings, they are top notch. However neither of us have broken a stock AR60 housing...
