I use 8-32 threaded rod and Traxxas Revo rod ends.
I sleeve the rod in cheap plastic water tubing from Lowes.

Finished up the ford tonight. All tested and ready for Maidens cliff. Should be a challenge with a 14 3/4" whel base and no rear steer. Took a while to dial in the throttle curves on the Traxxas Velineon. Little faster and a lot lighter. Had to mill the side plates down to get the ride height right. Like the Races claws but im thinking she needs chrome spoke internal bead locks to get it where i want it. Tossed in a before pic. Im liking this a lot better!

I like that ford body. My ford is about the same wheelbase.

Been working on an scx10. The basic moving stuff for weight distribution..Nothing picture worthy yet. Sold the deadbolt body and stuck an emaxx body on to g6 with. I have a 56 ford body to paint up then build bumpers/sliders to fit.

So, I dubbed with my LEDs and found that I didn't like any of the 4 ways I tried mounting them.
Finally dug into my old school R/C tool boxes, found the original rear bumper to my Tamiya King Hauler.
I cut the tail light sockets from the bumper and zip tied them together, stuck the LEDs in and zip tied them in place.
Looks more like it should be a Marshall 1/4 stack amp, rather than driving lights. Until they are lit...

I'm going to start working on a set of steel sliders for the scx10 jeep tomorrow. Their going to be a different design than the ones I made for the ford. I've got a couple ideas in mind but not sure what I'm going build yet.

Caught the scratch building bug lol. Those sliders you built for your ford came out killer. Can wait to see what you come up with next. I see a scratch built chassis some day?

So when I got home from work I messed around with a couple ideas for the jeep and I think I'm going to do something like this for it.

Nice!! I'm going to order a hilux body to go on the dingo chassis tomorrow. Thinking about trying a steel back half and exo cage on it.

Got a new to me but used JK body, a new unpainted & uncut JK body, and a set of Maxxis Trepadors.
I had to take it for a test drive.
I took it to Fort Popham.
Even though there's not much there to climb, I still managed to kill a 3300mah NiMH pack!
The Jeep body makes it climb so much better!!!

I hate my phone's camera, but here's a few pics anyway:

After looking at the slider I made for the jeep for a few weeks I decided I'm not too crazy on that style. So I made this today, I think I like this a little better.

Man cant wait to see how that comes out Kaler. Thought i cooked the sw3 in the ford a few weeks ago. So i dropped 106 on a mmp and 15.5t redline. Just my luck it was the receiver.....again. Thing crawls great and i can still blow mild donuts with it. Plus i can still hill climb. Works out great now i can put the velineon and the sw3 in the boys 2wd slash and pull the glitchy speed passions. Thing will only engage reverse when it wants to.
