Got the boy's wriath finished. Due to the short output shafts of the ax10 trans i had to make a longer drive shaft. After my first failed attempt. Ended up using the shank of a flat head screw driver to make a longer shaft. Cant believe its holding up. Tomorrow will be the real test. |

Put a hidden winch on The Mistress last night and today. Started with installing the winch and bumper and figuring out how to make it completely hidden. Stuck the wireless winch controller's remote to my controller. Mounted the RC4WD winch fairlead to the body. Modified the winch bumper to allow clearance for the body. A view of just how tight a fit it really is. The finished product! |

Dude nice job. Looks great. That hidden bumper will help a lot. My new wheels came yesterday body came today. Already need longer hardware for the wheels. Studs are too short with the tires on. Cant wait to get building...but looks I may be moving just down the road from my moms in a few weeks so everything is on hold for now. Will get some pics up when I can. Quote: |

At the bradbury run the hilux still had waaaay too much body roll. I took the 100mm shocks off and put the 90mm back on, and put the smaller swampers on and it set the truck down a bit, helped a lot with the body roll.

Well here she is. the Macho Stepside. Frame is the perfect length. Wheel base is off about 1 5/8" off. As you can see ive marked the wheel wells to cut them a little bigger to make room for my tires. Looks like all the wheel base adjustments will be made on the rear since the front is spot on with the frame. Be a while doing mock up and getting it where I need it. Mess with it some till its time to start packing up my shop for moving. |

I'm real rough on my rigs sometimes so I use traxxas revo rod ends and 10-24 threaded rod. It holds up to 90% of the abuse it gets. | |

Just because we all use AA batteries for our transmitters, Lowe's has the best deal going on them. A 24 pack of AAs for $13.99! |

Depending on your transmitter you might be able to wire up a lipo. I have lipos in 2 of my TX and they last for weeks on one charge.
