| Re: What are you working on?? Ive used a bunch of different drive shafts. I have a 14 1/4" wb so ive been rather limited to what will fit. I went MIP because the cheap ones ware out within a year. The last set I used were GDS carbon steel shafts. The pins in the universals have a tendency to pop out and after a year they are just played out. I don't think silver solder will hold up with my set up.
I've never tried it but if you get a spare shaft I think I can do it.
Think I have someone to do it for me tomorrow. If it doesn't work i'll have to throw the old front one back on for the 10th run |

Put a few projects on the back burner for a little bit. Not a crawler, but still off road non the less. Got around to freshnin up the sc8 body. Got rid of the old Rockstar decals, scuffed the body up and tossed on some fresh paint. Finally got my Kyle LeDuc scheme on. |

Monster trucks. Trying Shoe Goo to glue the tires to the wheels. I'm hoping 4 "drops" per bead is enough. |

Wired up lights to the SCX10.2 4Runner body. Light bar and headlight / taillights are wired to a RX switch so I can turn them on and off as needed. 3d Printed housings. Now I just need to get the dang thing out and use it! Last edited by robertjpjr; 09-25-2017 at 06:57 PM. |

I haven’t been able to do any crawling this summer, but my son did ask for an rc car party for his birthday. So the driveway became a race track and we had an rc car party. Talk about some pumped 9 year olds!

Got rid of some weight and a lot of the things that were hangin me up on the rocks. Lights in. Few little things to address but she can crawl. Love the 3 speed. Going to keep it stock brushed, on nimh's lol I got 2 or 3 packs with Tamiya ends so might as well use them. Theres no room for a lipo and I don't want to do away with the stock battery location. would like to move the rear axle back a tad. |

Here’s my new project. Pretty nicely assembled rig imo. I’ll need to make some mods to get er where I want it but that’ll come. Not sure if I wanna put the “Marlin Crawler” stickers all over it or not. I’m planing to paint the inside black, add inner fender wells, and do some well know suspension changes. Anyone know what that thing is with two wires and a white plug on it?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Saw these at Dollar Tree. I figure I can re-purpose the LED's. White, Red, and Amber. Troy was kind enough to give me trailing arms for the Bomber. I cleaned them up a bit and threw them on. Perfect. New - Original comparison I didn't photograph it, but on Black Friday I ordered a HeyOk 3 position winch controller. Assembled that and installed on the TRX4. Another great bit of kit!
Saw these at Dollar Tree. I figure I can re-purpose the LED's. White, Red, and Amber. Nice find Rob. You're the best at finding off brand items perfect for so it yourself projects. Here's the first of hopefully many pictures of a new project I'm starting. Going to tease it some but I went full blacksmith style and made a set of leaf springs. They started out life at a windshield wiper blade. Endless supply of used blades at work so what's free is for me! I did get the center bolt holes drilled today just no pictures yet. The springs are 7" eye to eye and 1/4" wide. Yup, those measurements are correct... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
