Not sure if it was that water I drove through at Bradbury or what, but my Holmes Hobbies servo started acting funny. So I took it apart, and tested it in another truck and the thing lit on fire!
So I am sending it out for repair. Wraith is down a servo, and I don't have any extras..

The 7950 in my bronco started acting up at Bradbury as well. It wasn't returning to center and all adjustments to my Tx have to be made with a laptop. I was playing with re-centering it the next day and it finally just turned full rotation on it's own and fried itself. It's got the 7954 out of the black jeep now and I put a 7955 in the jeep. I hope Hitec warranties the 7950 for what it cost. I think I only had 2 packs through it.

That sucks man.My Holmes is only 4 months old. I think I got one of the batch that wasn't properly waterproofed.

I picked up a scx10 chassis today from full throttle rob to go under the tundra. Hopefully I can get some time this weekend to hack it up and start bending and welding up some metal.

So I've been doing a bit of research lately. Searching here and whatnot.
Trying to decide on a new set of tires and wheels for my SCX10.

Liking the SSD 1.9" STEEL D HOLE WHEELS (SILVER)

Now the tricky part. Tires...

PIT BULL 1.9 Rock Beast Scale Crawler with Komp Kompound

OR

RC4WD 1.9 Interco IROK 1.9 Scale Tire

Those who have run these, is there a better tire here?

I've got both and they are a pretty even tire until you get on the rocks, the pitts edge out the iroks there.

Yah I have to get them spinning and get them hot and then they hook up. I hope the 1.9s are as good as the 2.2s

Ya, the research I've done suggests that the pit bulls are better on rocks, which I expect. I guess I'll just get them like the rest of you. We'll all have them on at least one of our rigs

You can't go wrong with pitts. The only tire I like better is the super swampers.

Got the grille and headlights for the tundra today, also trimmed the front to just under the grille and lights.

Sticks!!!

And too much servo. I was on a little trail behind my house with a buddy. Crawling over some roots and whatnot, when without much fuss, the servo snapped the plastic.

Ordered : $31 with free shipping

These arrived this morning, got them in the "for sale" section. They definitely needed a rebuild. This is the after shot, I had another set of XD's that I bought new for another rig and never used the ball ends and miscellaneous spare parts.

I also used two xrings in place of the original two oring shaft seals. it creates two edges per ring for seals instead of the one that an oring would. I also took out the middle oring spacer and replaced it with the two original orings; creating an XOOX sandwich. Time will tell if that was a good idea or not.

Couldn't sleep so I tore apart the Wraith last night. Replaced the lockers, both had the "Tabs" broken on them. Fixed a lot of slop, but it's still too much for my liking. Perhaps spools are in order.
New bearings on the Wraith front end while I was at it.
I really need to get like a bazillion stainless screws and a new tool set. I keep stripping out the cheap hex button heads.

I have a bunch of new stuff coming in the mail tomorrow. Love getting presents

4 - 58t 32p spur gears $10
Pitbull Rock beasts
Axial 1.9 beadlocks
Stainless hardware for the beadlocks
5mm 48 pitch pinion
Couple servo horns
STRC Yeti Steering bellcrank, later in the week.

Well wish I had something good to share. Some of the changes I made to the Bronco, I hate to say made it worse. I dropped in a Trackstar 17.5 Brushless on an MMPsc. Set of MIP's. Hot racing steel gears in he trans. Set of 1.9 pitbulls on some OMF Darksoul wheels. AND.......its a lame duck. Due to the taller tire I had to lift the rear and jack my body mounts up to the last hole. It crawls horrible. Flips over easy. Motor is a little weak compared to the Redline motors. I was expecting that for a $36 senored motor. Im getting way to much torque twist. I did fix the pinion angle on the front axle and got rid of the binding issue. Think im going to put the other wheels and tires back on and get the ride height back to where it was. Better foams and maybe some modding to the race claws and see if I cant get them to bite a little better. At least from all of this I learned what not to do lol.
Too bad it looks bad a$$.
