I got the email today too. The emaxx was already pretty big. This thing looks huge. I looked for the motor specs, but couldn't find them. Wouldn't be surprised if it had a 1/5 scale brushless system. If it doesn't, it should! |

It's only has a new vlx-6 system in it. Only able to run 6s, and the motor is a 1600kv

Well for that big of a truck more power wouldn't hurt lol. I have a slash with mamba monster 2 in it on 6s, but that's to much lol.

I'll wait till someone sells a used one or a roller and drop the mamba XL in it. The lack of tune ability in the vxl bugs me and the battery trays look big enough for some large packs! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I tried to pre order one on Tower, they had a $140 off of $799 purchase so I added that plus a $1.49 spur to make it over $799, but it wouldn't take the coupon. I did some snooping around the Traxxas forum and it sounds like they have stopped offering discount codes for Traxxas products. kinda bummed but I decided to wait until they start getting some reviews out there.

The truck is 20pnds and will only go 35 mph on 6s pritty sad. and i heard there is not enough room to install a larger can motor. Weak sauce i say.

So the motor is an 1/8th scale? 35 pounds sounds heavy ..but look at the size of it. I run a MM2 in my sc8 on 3s. That's plenty fast. Its gotta be close to 30 pounds alone.

Yah like most Traxxas stuff. Spend so much for a Summit only to get a big brushed turd on 14 volts..lol I so dislike the vxl systems. like you said . lacking in the tuning dept. Im sure it's lke most of their systems. says 6s over heats on 3s.
