Bomber or Wraith for 6/7 year old?

So I picked up a Traxxas Telluride a couple months ago for my son's X mas gift from Santa. The key reasons, durability, 4WD, and Parts. Since then I've purchased a Bomber for myself and love that it will go everywhere and it can get there slowly. The Telluride is like a Pede in that you can bash it through anything but I don't think you could crawl it there. So on the brink of Christmas I'm thinking about calling an audible and switching to an Axial for him. I like that we can walk down a trail and find obstacles to get over rather than just bashing our Traxxas through the woods. So, I love the Bomber but the wraith is cheaper plus I can get it in a Kit and use the electronics from my Bomber. On the other hand I would like him to have some speed as he grows into it which is where I think the bomber shines. Thoughts from My Mainer's or anyone who has both or more info on the Wraith?

Locking the diffs of the Telly with silly putty and changing the gearing would make it a capable crawler if that helps.

I think the Tellie is just a bit bouncy out of the box. I have one that I've nearly locked the diffs on and it's fun as hell and goes everywhere but it's still more of a bash machine. The Wraith because I don't have one is strong but I'm afraid that if I get him a Wraith he'll just want to drive my Bomber.... Modern problems I know ;)

Wraith and if he likes the bomber more just buy some trailing arms and you pretty much have a bomber.

I bought my son a Ridgecrest as a starter. then 2 years later used the axles trans electronics shocks and bought a wraith chassis. he likes the wraith much better.

I pulled the trigger on a Spawn Kit today. I think he'll like the crawler better and I think trailing will have a longer entertainment value than just bashing. Many thanks for all the advice!
