Default A trip down memory lane

Digging through some boxes in the attic today, my wife found an old photo album of mine from my teenage years.

It had a bunch of pics of some of my old R/Cs.

The pics are absolutely stuck to the album pages, so I had to take pics of them, rather than scanning them individually like I wanted to.
Sorry, they are blurry because my phone didn't like focusing on them....

My Tamiya Bruiser. Paint job #1
Yes, that's me at age 15...

My Bruiser. Paint job #2

Same paint job, with decals.

My Tamiya Audi Quattro Rally.

Wow, really blurry.... One of my Tamiya Wild Willys.

Left to right: Tamiya Road Wizard(painted in Ayrton Senna's JPS Lotus livery), Tamiya Porsche 959, and Tamiya Bruiser wearing paint job #3.

Left to right: Tamiya Bruiser w/'57 Chevy lid, Tamiya Lunch Box, Tamiya Porsche 959 w/Parma Shelby Daytona lid, Tamiya Mitsubishi Pajero, Tamiya Ford F-150 Ranger, and Tamiya Road Wizard w/ Dodge Charger lid(I made a wing and nose cone to replicate a Charger Daytona, but the nose cone didn't survive the first crash....).

Post up any pics you may have of your rigs from days gone by!!

Found this in one of my FB albums. This was my first attempt at crawling. Had been out of the game for a long time. My old ax10 kit rig. Had a 55 turn brushed in it. Traxxas am 4 channel. Rear steer. Rock Lizard's This was in 2010???

Then it went to a 18 turn brushed ,on old Tamiya tires. Traxxas big bore shocks.

Holy top heavy..lol what was I thinking?
Homemade shock towers lol

Then I got out of the crawling idea. Those are Marui Big Bear wheels and tires. Had to glue hexes into the wheels. They had some odd drive system. No hex or pin slot..

Then I found RCCRAWLER! and some cool people to crawl with.
Went back to a 55 turn on BFG Krawlers, with my homemade chassis. Still a modified ax10 at that point. made new side plates to lengthen the wheel base. Still had rear steer.

Took a lot of flack for the rear steer . Dropped that . Dropped down to 1.9 race claws.

Few Wheel and tire changes.

Went to an MMP ,Redline 17.5 , Lipo and a bunch of drive hop ups. Retired the homemade chassis for a new lengthened scx10 chassis.

The old girl has been through a lot in 5 years time. Always be my favorite rig. Always be the hardest let down when it breaks. But I would never part with her.

You wanna talk top heavy. Remember when the hauling ram was triple hpi Saturn powered rolling on 2.2's with a 1 inch lift and dual 3s 5000 mah packs.
That was legitimate WTF was I thinking lol.
