I don't do Facebook so I can't see the post with the information on it. This is obviously a whole day deal right? I see that it starts at 9, does that mean the competition starts at 9 so you need to be there early to register and have the drivers meeting? What's the schedule of events? Will the 5 courses take you the rest of the day into the night course? I'm so frat from being able to go but there is that chance, like 1/1,000,000 chance but would like to know what I'm in for if I can make it. Obviously outside right? Rain or shine? Never done a comp before so sorry for the simple questions. What time roughly will it be over? Thanks. I hate to pass up on a local big name event and think it's great to have something close, don't want to pass it up, have it have a bad turnout and then never return again, but life is just really busy with kids and projects to take a whole day off and be away for me right now. I just put the supershafty trans in the bomber. We are almost ready for lift off with it. I've set the bomber up for slick terrain. I have been to both of the previous events this year at GLT. The trail we usually run has some pretty slick areas. Not sure what new trails will be laid out. Be a long day but I am sure of it. They are having a night run as well, I would say its going to be pretty late into the evening.

If I'm not in Massachusetts, I may show up for a bit. If nothing else, just to see it. Ben, reg starts at 7am. Grab bags given way until gone. First event at 9am. Various events throughout. Evening run at 8pm. I believe that's accurate. Mouse traps as IEDs. Military theme. All welcome. |

Here is a copy/paste of the info tab for the event for those that don't like the facebook. Expedition RC presents "Kennebec Krawler Klassic" hosted at Granite Leisure Time Get excited for the RC scale Adventure scene's first interactive event! The dates are right around the corner, we know, but the level of detail involved in this event's planning deserved our fullest attention in order to avoid releasing incomplete information. Expedition RC guarantees you a Rc day full of experiences unlike ANY event you've participated in, seen, or heard about before. Kennebec Krawler Klassic might not the biggest event of the year, on either coast, but it will absolutely be the most entertaining!!! The weekend's exploits will include a scavenger hunt, 5 interactive stages containing 200+ trail markers of adventur...e, a bonus run brought to you by gigabit off-road. Honoring the valor and integrity of the men and women who sacrifice so much to defend our rights and freedom, like grown folks playing with toy trucks! Kennebec Krawler Klassic has an in depth and expansive military theme. Each of the 5 interactive stages will test your own military skills,as you will find yourself in boot camp, behind enemy line, storming battle mountain, recovering a down pilot, and sniping the enemy. But the way to get more detailed description of each stage is to come be apart of this unique and ground breaking experience. In addition Expedition RC will have a collection station on behalf of "RC for Vets" Please bring any spare parts or used parts and accessories. Visit "RC for Vets" Facebook page for more information on their important mission providing therapy for Vets or to inquire about any specific needs. The mandatory items required are a tow strap and a good since of humor. We want everyone to have a good time and enjoy sharing the experience with the other drivers while asking that everyone complete all course and course challenges to the best of there ability. Aside from any direction given to complete each course challenge, the only rule is keep it scale, NO hog within reason, of course. We don't want to see any equipment broken or seriously damaged. Penalties: trail markers hit- boundary hit- penalty winches Classes: Cadet (14yr and under) Calvary Unit (1.55) Motorized Infantry (1.9) Heavy Artillery (2.2) Apache (ladies) Schedule.... July 30 7:00am- 9:00am registration 9:00am- 9:30am drivers meeting/group photo 9:30am trails opens 4:00pm-5:00pm awards 5:00pm-7pm special bonus run??? 8:00pm night run Entry Fee $20 for all classes $10 gate fee for use of facilities |

Thinking I'll be there. Not staying for the bonus or night run, just too long of a day. But I think I'm going to go, do my thing, if for some reason I think I'm in the running a for a prize or something I'll stay for awards, if not, I'll split once I'm done the courses. I guess I need to finish rebuilding my driveshafts before Saturday! Ben |

Sarah is saying the same thing. She's worried about it being such a long day and my truck cant pull worth a crap so she wont be getting a ride. We may not stay for the bonus runs either. We cant be on our feet very long. I would just pill up and deal with the pain but I'm not really the one in charge anyway, she is. I tried to get her to be ready to leave at 5:30 so that we can be there by 7:30 but, she said no way. So we will be there more towards 8-8:30.

I hear ya with the early morning leave out time. I'm shooting to be out the door by 6:45 which should get me there at 8 or so. I want a goodie bag if possible lol. So, does anyone know if they have man made obstacles, natural rocks or is it more or a mud/dirt run. Really hope it's not mud I hate getting my truck that messy. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best I guess. See you guys there. Gotta charge my batteries tonight! Oh, and finish putting the driveline back together Ben |

They had a live feed from GLT yesterday on facebook. looks like 3 of the 5 courses are on existing courses which are mostly rock and some dirt. They showed pictures of this wicked cool looking new dry creekbed that will be a new course. I didn't see any or hear mention of any mud, but you never know. Im not big on mud either.
