No powa!! Not likely until 11/4-11/5, all good though because we're fortunate enough to have a whole house generator, all is normal except for no interwebs.......

I do have a few other generators sprinkled around Westport that I keep fueled and what not, between those and other small engine repair I stay a bit busy..

Not sure if chit chat is allowed in these threads, so before we get shut down I have an unrelated question...

Do any of you know how / where one can get an older Craftsman bandsaw repaired.
It was a gift and I can't get the thing to keep the blade tracked.
Keeping the cost to less than $50.
I can get a new band saw for $100 and for what I need that's plenty of machine.

Hijacked my own thread. Boredom from no internet on my PC has led to projects.

Re: How's everyone doing?

We lost power for 26 hours. Had a generator for 16 or so of that so no big deal. Lost 2 days of work from no power at the shop which kinda sucked. Trying to get 40 hours in 3 days kinda sucks. Luckily no damage at the household though. No sleep Sunday night just waiting for the roof to come off or at least siding but all is still on.

Robert, look into “bandsaw tires” for your specific model. They’re the rubber bands that encompass the wheels and help keep the blade on track. The top wheel will also have an adjuster for alignment. You can turn a wheel by hand (with it unplugged) and make small adjustments until it tracks close to true then you can fire it up and make additional tweaks if need be. Gimme a shout if you need more help, I maintain a few saws at work.

After 6 days we got internet back. My cell data plan will thank me! Totally first world issue, but you don't realize how much data you use until you can't use Wi-Fi.
