well i got my artr ax 10 yesterday. i was really surprised how bad it performed out of the box. the springs are way to stiff, and the stock battery mount is up to high. so far i have, switched the shocks and the lower links(putting the shocks into the middle more and the links closer to the tires), and took the springs off the front shocks. i have my battery mounted on top of the servo but the battery sticks out of the front a lil far. so i need ideas for the battery. my next idea is to buy a small 2 cell lipo!! |

Personally, I think a 2 cell lipo does'nt bring enough punch. you need more then 7 volts to get the job done. try moving the servo to one side, that will give you more room to run a larger battery. or look into saddle pack batteries. Also, I think you need springs at all four corners. Try adding weight to your wheels, It will force your springs to flex more. |

i found a way to mount my battery but i havent really tested it yet. it is behind the servo and on top of the uppers but it doesnt touch them. it seems to work good but the weight of the battery is on the chassis not the axel. also i went to moose caboose today and i had them order axial soft springs. i found out that the stock springs are super firm. i asked the guy there if he had any springs that would work and he didnt have any but he said he was a axial dealer. he also had a tamiya cr-01 unimog crawler there! |

I run the battery under the Bat plate. It is tight but it does fit. I have been getting some of my stuff at the Moose. Nice store but I would be suprised if they ever carry any of the Axial stuff in stock. |
