Exclamation MDRCC 2009 Points Series

***UPDATE***

Comp Dates

March 1st (Sykesville indoor)

April 5th (Wilson Street in Hagerstown) <---------- ?????

May 3rd (HT City park)

June 7th

July 5th (Cronus' Sykesville spot)

August 2nd (Carderock park)

September 6th (Sugarloaf west overlook)

October 18th *Finals* (Vote on location after the September Comp)

12:00 Tech/Inspection

12:30 PM Drivers Meeting

1:00 PM Comp Begins

**If we have inclement weather on the day of the event, the event will be cancelled and moved to the following Sunday. We will post up on here by 10am, on the day of the event**

We will follow the USRCCA Rules

--------------------------------------------------------------------

*$10 Dollar Entry Fee per Event*

50% of the entry fee will be donated to site where the event is held at. If we cannot donate the 50%, it will be put into a "POT" that will be given out at the end of the season. The Top 3 drivers with the highest series points, who attend at least 5 events + the finals will be eligible for CASH PAYOUTS.

The other 50% of the entry fees will be paid to the top 3 drivers at each event.

1st Place = 50%
2nd Place = 30%
3rd Place = 20%

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Example

15 Drivers = $150 Event Fees

$75 goes to event site or finals pot

$75 will be split between the top 3 drivers

1st Place = $37.50
2nd Place = $26.25
3rd Place = $11.25
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

If we have 11 or more drivers we will be split into 2 groups!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

You MUST attend 5 of the 7 events + the finals to be eligible for series CASH and/or Prizes.

Points awarded per "Event' will be as follows -

1st Place = 30 Points
2nd Place = 27 Points
3rd Place = 24 Points
4th Place = 21 Points
5th Place = 18 Points
6th Place = 15 Points
7th Place = 12 Points
8th Place = 9 Points
9th Place = 6 Points
10th Place = 3 Points

11th place and on, you will not receive placing points, but you will receive "Bonus Points".

*Bonus Points

1 Point for "Attending The Event"

1 Point for "Best Course Score" (3 possible per event)

**No extra point for shoot out winner**

Top 6 drivers with lowest event score over the 3 courses, will run in a shootout to determine final placing.

__________________________________________________ ______________

I have made up a spread sheet that will track points for each event, running total for the series and the cash that is paid out per event, donated or put in to the finals pot.

I have no problem tracking all the ponints and trackinh the money as along as the majority agrees. I will keep the spreadsheet updated and will bring it to each event for any driver to see.
__________________________________________________ ______________

Everyone post up your thoughts for the above INFO!!!!

Lets have a Great '09 Season

Hopefully Nobody has to sell their rig :cough: youngblood :cough:

I'd round up with the fees, depending on the number of people.

3rd place should at least break even.

1st Place = $40.00
2nd Place = $25.00
3rd Place = $10.00

Unless someone plans on paying with quarters or singles

This sounds like a good place for a comp.... maybe instead of the Wilson Street or Hagerstown Park??

werock decided to move nationals from the 1st weekend in sept to the 1st weekend in October so more people would have time to fix and raise money for attending nationals.
so, pretty much any other weekend SHOULD work for me. how about the 2nd sunday ?

We could do the June date here at Deep Creek. The weather would be nice here then. Any problems?

I'll check the date with my mom, and see if their house is open that weekend.
If so, it sleeps 18 in beds, so we could have a big party weekend.

That would be fantastic. Their house is on Sand Flat right? By Swallow Falls?

Cool, when the weather finally breaks up here I will be able to scope out some places and we can vote on them if we decide to have one up here. We are supposed to get another 8" tonight.

WOW, Nice job Steve!

Like stated earlier, thanks for steping up to the plate! All looks perfect.

I would recomend trying to get recognized, Since we will meet all of the requirements, but it sounds like they arent excepting any new clubs at this time...

Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Ok guys....

I bought a small portable file holder so we can keep the score sheets in order for each comp. I also have copies made of the score sheets (Enough for the season). This way if anyone wants to see something, everything will be in one place. I will post up the current standings after each event in this thread and bring a hardcopy to each event I attend. This will also help MDRCC get recognized by the USRCCA, if that's the way MDRCC wants to go. I think we need to stick to the rules the majority agreed to and I think we will have a smooth season.

Thanks,
Steve
