1:00 PM Comp Begins

**If we have inclement weather on the day of the event, the event will be cancelled and moved to the following Sunday. We will post up on here by 10am, on the day of the event**

We will follow the USRCCA Rules

--------------------------------------------------------------------

*$10 Dollar Entry Fee per Event*

50% of the entry fee will be donated to site where the event is held at. If we cannot donate the 50%, it will be put into a "POT" that will be given out at the end of the season. The Top 3 drivers with the highest series points, who attend at least 5 events + the finals will be eligible for CASH PAYOUTS.

The other 50% of the entry fees will be paid to the top 3 drivers at each event.

1st Place = 50%
2nd Place = 30%
3rd Place = 20%

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Example

15 Drivers = $150 Event Fees

$75 goes to event site or finals pot

$75 will be split between the top 3 drivers

1st Place = $37.50
2nd Place = $26.25
3rd Place = $11.25
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

If we have 11 or more drivers we will be split into 2 groups!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

You MUST attend 5 of the 7 events + the finals to be eligible for series CASH and/or Prizes.

Your Best (5) Scores + Finals Score will determine your final placing for the 2009 MDRCC Series!!

Points awarded per "Event' will be as follows -

1st Place = 30 Points
2nd Place = 27 Points
3rd Place = 24 Points
4th Place = 21 Points
5th Place = 18 Points
6th Place = 15 Points
7th Place = 12 Points
8th Place = 9 Points
9th Place = 6 Points
10th Place = 3 Points

11th place and on, you will not receive placing points, but you will receive "Bonus Points".

*Bonus Points

1 Point for "Attending The Event"

1 Point for "Best Course Score" (3 possible per event)

**No extra point for shoot out winner**

Top 6 drivers with lowest event score over the 3 courses, will run in a shootout to determine final placing.

__________________________________________________ ______________

I have made up a spread sheet that will track points for each event, running total for the series and the cash that is paid out per event, donated or put in to the finals pot.

I have no problem tracking all the points and tracking the money as along as the majority agrees. I will keep the spreadsheet updated and will bring it to each event for any driver to see.

Thanks for getting this going again. "thumbsup" Hopefully Nexgen/broncoholic will chime in about the sponsored event in Funkstown, looking forward to that one.

I think the last thing we were talking about before all of our posts were deleted was the thought of 1 or 2 money runs. I think someone recomended that the final be one of them.

Also, Will we run rain or shine?

CronusTRD 01-14-2009 08:03 AM

1 or 2 money runs is fine. I'd rather not run rain or shine. We could always go to Kane's or find another indoor spot in case of inclement weather. My FXR isn't exactly waterproof, and I'm moving all my electronics to the axles.

Also, are we going to run just 2.2?

Any scaler, 1.9 or super? We could do just a 3 comp series with those. I just traded my Bruiser for a Super Hustler, and my old chassis is going to become a 1.9 rig.

broncoholic 01-14-2009 09:07 AM

I think there are only three of us with supers

MDcrawler72 01-14-2009 09:13 AM

I am cool with more classes. I would run in the 2.2 scale class most likely.

I would also rather not run rain or shine. If Kane agrees, we can use his place if we hit bad weather.

How abot May 3rd and October 4th for money runs?

Do we need to purchase anything else for us to run the series?

"thumbsup""thumbsup"

jeepik 01-14-2009 09:55 AM

is it ok if i miss the first one??

im going to be in Florida on March 1

D.J.D.H. 01-14-2009 10:11 AM

would it be bad to make all of the comps money runs? its only $10. plus when i start kicking a$$ it would be cool to win something"thumbsup"

swell searcher 01-14-2009 10:19 AM

pretty sweet, another series in the mid atlantic area... good luck guys and i may try to show up for one...

but don't you think you guys are starting late... 12 tech and 1 start time. it takes VARCOR about 3-4 hours to finish a comp. based on our courses, it takes about 6-8 rigs/hour to run a single course.

Because Rob, Im getting tired of taking everybody's money...
:flipoff:

How about to start we do MD scale trail rides after the 2.2 comp class is finished? Although, I dont have a scaler, so Im not sure why im giving input on the matter.

I like the VARCOR 9am start time, but I dont think our attendance rate would be very good if we did it before noon... bums. :ror:

Thanks and come on out "thumbsup"

Last comp with 15 drivers we ran 2 courses at a time and finished pretty early.

We could also do a money run every other comp along with keeping points.

You only have to make 5 of the 7. Your two lowest scores are dropped.

We are efficient up here, Eskimolian. I like our 12 noon starts just fine :)

I think we should make the money runs optional. Those who want to win $$ throw in some $$. It's not mandatory to compete. The pot goes to the top winners who threw in, even if a non-money person wins the comp.

K Riccardi 01-14-2009 11:41 AM

I like the money runs. It keeps it more on a pro level. $10 per event is nothing in the grand scheme.

Option 1 $10 per event

Option 2 $10 for just the finals

Option 3 Free

K Riccardi 01-14-2009 11:44 AM

I would rather not run in the rain. I think the call should be made 2 hours before the event. Push the event to the next weekend or just skip it???

On a side note as soon as the weather is warm the rocks at my house are going outside.:)

I think pushing it to the next weekend if its raining is a good idea.

To keep it simple I agree we just move it to the next weekend.

If bad weather is forcasted, we can all get online and post up 2 hours before the event, if it will be postponed.

So far I think we will have a fun smooth season! "thumbsup"

CronusTRD 01-14-2009 12:12 PM

I would like to go ahead and enter in a pre-emptive "It's Youngblood's fault". I don't know what will go wrong, but it's his fault.
