Sweet Mike, cant wait to see, and Im glad to see your sticking to your guns in the TLT. With those new tires, I guess Im going to have to sell my rig by the end of our series.

Copper spools?!?! Why? copper is soft metal...

Copper Alloy with stainless steel pinions. The teeth are deeper than stock, which are rounded and soft to begin with.

can you post how the chisel perform? I had hammers, but switched to rock grapplers for the size, if the chisels do well I may have to go back to proline

I got a set of chisels about a week ago. I have only got to play with them inside, but I really like them so far. (Other than they smell awlful when you open them)
Hoping the snow melts soon for some rock play.

Here is my progress for today.

I tore down my old rig and rebuilt both axles. New shocks, tuned and oiled. It articulates almost as well as the Reign Chassis, which is suprising considering the links are considerably shorter. Wheelbase is right on 12.5"

Chisels mounted up pretty easy. Belly height is 2.75"

It's nice to be sprung again.

This is the body I'm using for Motorama. I was in HobbyWorks in Laurel and it was cheap, so I figured I try a Jeep lid for once. It's VERY thin lexan ad I don't expect it to last through 2 or 3 hard rollovers.

All the electronics are on. I'm just waiting for my Lipo packs to show up, so I can decide on placement.

Start wording your ad. I ran a NIMH pack through it and I am more than impressed. It will side hill like a mofo, and I may actually have to limit the articulation. Very smooth.

Mike,

Are you running the stock foams with the chisels?

I'm running the nwtt hybrid reachs #8. I think the chisels are too firm to fully take advantage of the foams. The rubber is slightly less pliable than other cheater tires but I like the lug pattern more. time will tell I guess.
