| Hello everybody. I just picked up an 04 Jeep Rubicon and now I'm looking for people to go 4-wheeling with. Does anybody else here live near eastern Ma. and go off roading? I use to go every weekend but the trails i went on are all leveled and have houses now. If anybody wants to go give me a shout. |

| Your best bet if you don't want to get caught somewhere you don't belong is to find a local club and join it. Clubs have access to allot of trails and often organize trail rides. I belong to http://www.oceanstatejeepsters.com/ There are other clubs and organizations around here. Vic |

| If you want to stay somewhat local. Check out oceanstatejeepsters.com baystatejeepers.com capecodjeepclub.org I have heard that capecodjeepclub (CCJC) does have an attitude problem with allot of there members. They think there better than everyone else is what I heard from members in other clubs. I have not seen it for myself, but it's a heads up. I don't want to find out, no need for 6th grade crap. Vic |

| I dont know what happened to crunky's post about SouthShoreWheelers.org but in relation to jeep snob clubs. i tried to contact SSW 5 times through the site and there myspace link to join. got no response from them. obviously they either dont want new members or are themselves "snobs". Instead, i joined OSJ and am going to join freedom trail riders also. vic |

i don't think that is the case at all. feel free to join whatever clubs you wish. i do know that the SSW club is undergoing a few minor changes in the line up as far as pres, vice pres, and such go. i know another guy that says his apps fell through the cracks. the comment about "snobs" was only referring to the fact that i can't join the cape cod jeep club with my lifted Xterra. i have heard of the ocean staters... i think i met a couple of guys this past summer. in fact ask posimoto about SSW, i think he's a member of both. actually... there are a few guys that are in both. if you are interested, i can give you direct contacts to deal with. either cookieman, or roadkill can help you. like said, they are a newer club just starting up with members who actually left the CCJC due to the baby headed BS and " tudes " so they might not have everything sorted just yet. i can assure you it was not intentional that they missed you. unless your driving a honda CRV... lol j/k * as for the post i put i think i deleted it by mistake when i was trying to edit it. doh !* another group that accepts all members is Nexterra. north east xterra owners club. there are quite a few guys with four runners, and jeeps that roll with those cats. i guess it don't matter what club, or who you know... as long as you are having fun... ... and you are treading lightly. | yes joe, i am in SSW. i have not been active in many trail runs at all this year, money for gas was a bit tight, and they always seemed to have runs when i was headed up to my house up north. SSW welcomes all vehicles. i can give you a contact number to get ahold of the VP if needed. pm me if you need. |

A honda CRV........Not unless I need to cut the lawn a bit before I go wheeling...LOL I have a ZJ with a 4" lift, full adj arms, Front Kevins off road trac bar conversion, JKS quicker disco's and Bar Pin Eliminators, NP242 transfer case swap, Bult tranny for offroad use, cragar streetlock black wheels. I went with 31" BFG M/T's so I wouldnt have to cut metal for full flex. I'm still up in the air about which other one I wanna join. If you can send me that contact info, it would be sweet. I know OSJ has gone wheeling with other vehicles, not just jeeps. I know what you mean about CCJC. We have a few members in OSJ that left them for the same reasons. What color is your xterra? I used to see one around here that was lifted, but it's been a while since I last saw it. Looked pretty cool too. Vic | |

| do yourself a favor and don't consider joining the ccjc. what everyone says about them is true. i do know a few of their members but they are only members because it makes them feel special being in the club. the best way to describe them is a perfect ratio of nice people and dickheads |
