Default Boston Crawlers Summer Event #1, Nats #2

Hello Everyone,

Our first event in our 2.2 Summer Series is coming up this weekend. It will be held this Sataurday April 16th. It will be held at Chandler Hovey Park in Marblehead, MA.

Parking will be in the parking lot at the park or on the street. If you are using a GPS you can enter 5 Follett St, Marblehead, MA. Registration will begin at 9:30 and the competition will begin at 10.

Our summer series will consist of 7 events. Your two lowest scores of all 7 events will be dropped for your final standing. There is no charge for the summer series and thanks to our sponsors we are able to give away prizes to the top Pro and Novice drivers. This event will be sponsored by Castle Creations and Wicked RC.

In addition to being the first event in our summer series it is also the second event in Nationals Qualifier. There is an overlap of events between the summer and Nat's qualifier. If you have any questions please shoot me a message. The Nat's qualifiers consist of 5 events and will have the lowest one of those 5 scores dropped. Anyone who did not make the first event still has a just as good a chance as anyone if they can attend the next 4 events, which will be every other Saturday. The top two drivers at the end of the qualifying series will be offered a spot at Nationals in Las Vegas. If either of those drivers decline the invitation it will be offered to the next highest competitor.

If you have any questions let me know.

Dust off your trucks and come do some crawling tomorrow. We will be up in Marblehead around 9:00am and it looks lie the weather is going to hold out for most of the day.

See everyone there,

Default Summer Event #1 results

Hey People,

Here are the results of our first "Summer" event. It was pretty darn cold so I use that term loosely. Thanks to everyone who made it out. Congratulations to Bryan Duval who won the Novice Class and took home a Gift Card to Wicked RC, and also to Rob who pulled down second and got to take the prize, in this case a sweet Enerland 3 Cell Lipo.

To anyone who has not been to Marblehead, it is defiantely worth a drive this summer to head out and have some fun. We set up our first course on a large rock near the entrance. The both the pro and novice courses had 7 gates ranging from some steep climbs, to off camber, and some wicked descents. We even had a few spectators and they all seemed pretty entertained by our drivers.

The second course was down towards the water on the south side. The course started in a gully and dirvers had to work their way out and across the rock field. Both courses consisted of 6 gates and the Pro's had a bonus as well. The rock there at Marblehead is so grippy that the drivers made short work of the courses with many deep into negative numbers overall.

See you all at Hammond Pond on the 30th.
