Matt, I don't mean to be a smartass or whatever, but what's the purpose for this?

The purpose is simple. Not everyone regularly uses this forum, so when a GTG is planned, an email can go out to everyone and maybe boost attendance. It certainly won't hurt. With 18 people in the area (and you know there's more), we should be able to get some good turnouts. I am not trying to step on anyone's toes or waste anyone's time; I'm trying to be proactive and get more frequent and better attended crawls going.

I'd be thrilled if everyone on that list joined NERCC and we all had a nice, strong and large crawling club to be part of. And of course, I'll take anyone off the list if they like.

it also gives us a network to work with if any of us need random parts right before a crawl or anyone needs help solving problems and building stuff. theres guys like fullmod that have been doing this for 3 years who know tricks that people like i (6months) dont.

we might be able to get some LHS owners to join and get discounts through our mailing list. i know id give discounts on custom stuff to people on the list... other crap like that.

but two are 10 min from me. so if you needed something and had a really full week id pick you up something and ship it... these days its cheaper to ship a little part than it is to drive 20 minutes

You can make it. I bet you drive fast enough to get there an hour ahead of me.
