Kona, I darn near forgot about that vid! It's one of my favorites. However, I haven't forgotten about Wonderful waving at the "judges" like that. Oh, that's because he still does it. I kinda miss that old cantilever setup! I do still have those LSTs on narrowed 'locks and the MGT body though....

For anybody that plans on going, we're about the most laid back bunch you'll find. We shoot for getting there at 10AM, but whenever is cool. Bring sunscreen, and a packed up cooler is a good idea. It gets darn hot out there on the rocks. Nothing in the area for lunch though...

WOW that place looks REAL nice. I hope that I can make it to that one. I should have my 8 wheeled monster done by then(or close to it).

The only problem is that I was looking at the video saying to myself... I can't drive there, nope not there either.... will still be fun though.

Yes, you might want to pack a lunch and bring a cooler. Fort Phoenix is the remains of a old fort from the Revolutionary War along side a state beach. Pretty much beach and rock!

Lots of stuff to play on, great climbs, off camber stuff and the huge rocks on the hurricane barrier. Something for all types of trucks!

3 hour drive for me, and even longer for Trac95ker. FortPheonix is hands down, undoubtedly my favorite place to crawl. Worth every minute of 6 hours on the road, driving out in the early AM and getting home at around midnight.
Hell, even the sunburn won't stop me from crawling there.

Yes, we do it hardcore.
