New place for indoor rock crawling New Bedford

I had a buddy tell me there still around and race on Fridays and another day which I can't for the life of me remember. But we plan on heading there Friday as of right now. If it is still up and running I'll try talking to the owner(s) ad find out the deal and take pics of the place.

I have been there... If your into dirt racing, this place is for you! Its a bad ass track!!!! As far as rock crawling goes the last time I was there (about 3 months ago) there was still no rock crawling course. The rocks were there and the course could be a very cool course once setup. I know the owner and he 's a cool dude.... I will try to swing by today and see whats up.

I went by earlier today but there was no one there... Will try again Friday... Here are some pics of the facility. These pics are a few months old but the place looks exactly the same.




This place has alot of potential, If everyone wants to get together I will setup a meeting beween us and the owner so we can get this ball going... This place would be alot of fun year round...

I went over there yesterday and talked to my buddy that owns the place... He said he was gonna start on the rock crawling courses this week. He plans on setting up an indoor comp course as well as a Recon G 6 scaler course outdoors! Im gonna go over there tonight and hopefully get that indoor comp course started.... Here are some updated pics of the dirt track...

Does anybody know the hours/prices for this place?

Monday thru Friday 4pm -9pm.. Saturday and Sunday 12pm-9pm. Track fee is $10.00 for the day including racing.

If this place has a/c it will be the place to be this summer when it's 100 deg and humid out.....

I will pay $20 a day with a/c

Im guessing prob no ac. It would cost a fortune to run ac in a warehouse like that

No a.c.... But it does stay fairly cool in there on hot days.... It is however heated for the winter..

It is located in the north end of New Bedford attached to the Beacon Lumber building ...

Crawling / scale course built yet ? Pics?

Here are some pics of the beginning if the 2.2 comp and scale crawling area... The course is currently in the first stage of construction ...the scale course will be built to simulate real world terrain including a shallow pond with sorrounding wetlands , signs,trees, mud pits ,sand traps ,etc...(make sure your rig is waterproof for maximum fun!to The course will be built in 4 different stages
We are currently in stage 1 (base course of gravel and rocks ).

Stage 1. Base course of gravel and rock

Stage 2. Design of trails and installation of bridges

Stage 3. Installation of artificial trees, signs , sand traps , course adjustments

Stage 4. Filling of mud pit , make the sorrounding wet lands wet..
We should be done in a couple if weeks.
