Default Western Mass, Skinner Mt.

Okay, I'll start it off for ole Mass. Want to start up some GTGs this spring at Skinner, so far it's just been myself and sw500mag going, and it's really relaxed and very quiet when we go after work. Lots of good spots for 2.2s, trail rigs, and some super spots. I'll post up some pics of last fall.

There is also Mt. Tom in Holyoke

I'm just north of Albany, NY and I 1:1 wheel several spots in Western Mass. Pittsfield, Blandford, Adams, etc. There would be good R/C action in many of these places with a short walk or wheel in then small crawl.

Hey custumrig, age isn't the point (of course you should get mom or dad involved)

Skinner is located in South Hadley, it's a haul from Concord. I'd check your local state parks first, gotta be something out there first.

Im from the pittsfeild area (Hinsdale) and I know of a few good places but they arent that big. Western Mass GTG's in the spring definitely a good idea though

South Hadley isnt too far of a drive for me either

Larson, sounds like a plan! the more the better! Skinner is kinda on my way home from work, so it's great for me. Weekend can be a little busy at the top, but good for spectators. Last fall the rangers were pretty good about it and never gave us hassles, of course there were only two of us.....

Yo Bob,

Did you check out the indoor crawling at Madness? Is it decent? How large did they make it?

Default Skinner is open...sort of

Hey all,

Drove by from work yesterday. Skinner is open from 10am to 4pm right now. The road seems plowed. More after.

wow what a great spot! great view too and the rock looks awesome. I always prefer formations over boulder fields. Too bad I don't live anywhere close to massachusetts. I would love to live in that house/building. does anyone live there or is it like an information center thing?

It's closer to a museum now. Cool place really, sometimes during the summer they have tiny concerts there. It's called the Summit House I think? Catchy...
