Got my stuff in a little while ago and I just cut out my chassis today. I'll be drilling holes and assembling tomorrow. I may or may not be able to make due to previous engagements. But I will have a crawler beforehand never the less.

Well I can't make it that day, I'll be in Vermont taking care of a friends house. It has some excellent looking areas to crawl itself so don't worry, I'll be having fun.

Smooth, think you can get any pics of your crawler on the rocks out there? House-sitting? I hope they are gonna leave you a few cold ones to help you get through it....

hey guys, I have been out of crawling for a couple months and I am starting to have withdrawls!

I was told by my work we werent getting our annual bonus this year and today I heard that I WILL be getting a bonus in my friday paycheck! (president says we will be "pleasanlty suprised") we'll see...

so I may build another crawler from ground up...but what platform ? clod again or txt or tlt? what chassis? (i had a tcs extreme and clod mod already, so Those are OUT of the running) i did like the clod mod lower links though.

any ideas?

Well, it all depends what you want. TLT's are great platforms for scale trucks. I am working on one now that will be more of a trail rig than a rock crawler. Clods are nice because they have super low CG, however, the motors get dragged across the rocks, and the motor stall is a little annoying. 2 of the guys in NERCC have TXT's, i have a clod, and trac95ker has a mad force based crawler.

Fort Pheonix was a blast Kona, and the vid gives a good idea of what went on out there. The shot in the beginning of the skyline with the "mosquito studios" credit is great!

Ya that movie really kicks a$$. Although, we didn't get any footage on the actual barrier. The part will all the giant rocks, and even bigger holes.

Nice vid. I might be able to make the Waterbury crawl. Is it in a park?

I found a area with a lot of rocks in Windsor. Its under the windsor side of the Bissel bridge (the bridge crosses the CT river). Its maybe 60x30' with a slope of 25 deegrees. I'm not sure if the cops would like a get together there as it is state property. I'll see if I can test it out soon.

Custom, We'll be getting together in Waterbury right on the Naugutuck river. It is exactly where RT84 and RT8 cross. There is another very good spot about 1/2 hour from this spot. Not sure if we will do them both in one day, or split them into seperate crawls.

I broke a bunch of rod ends. I think that pretty much covers everything.
