| Thanks for being so considerate. I'm sending the dog over to 5150's house to poop in his yard. And don't look at my thread at all, nothing but useless info there. Last edited by gunnar; 02-27-2009 at 10:50 AM. |

Gunnar - Hahahaha..It was your fault I'm building SWX crawler, I've read your thread like so many times and then I decided to do one too. Thinking I have enough info in your thread that if I come up with a problem I can go back and re-read your thread again. Thank you Sir!. Now I'm waiting for your review of the S3R dig, that will be my next project- install a dig. Haven't decided yet which one to get. 5150 - I'm building an SWX, hopefully will come out as good as Gunnar's. Last edited by ChiefG; 02-27-2009 at 06:03 PM. | |

Oh jeez here I go again hijack! CheifG, your supposed to say that on my thread, or send me a PM. 5150 needs his thread back! With that said, There will be some nice surprises for my build, I just can't say yet. And I'm working on three videos for upload later. I promise I will not use this thread for my purposes anymore! If anyone says anything about my build, please comment on my thread or send me a PM. Sorry 5150, continue your build I won't bother you anymore, unless it is a compliment, comment, or dirk worship!

| MIP Shortening for front and rear.
I cut 1/4 in off the splines for the front and rear driveshaft. I grinded a 45 degree angle on the tip and filed each spline so it slides smoothly. The finished product! Glad I am done with that and now to the foams. |

nice build man, I dig that MIP mod. I just took mine off and went w/ a traxxas driveshaft in the rear (HR dig). I will be trying your steering mod tho, thanks, hopefully I'll get my steering a bit neater. I made almost everything that I physically could....that was my first attempt. when I'm done I'll post my revision of Gordon's BTA |

| 2-stage Foams.....
I used memory foams that came with panthers and than used stock proline hard foams for side wall. I cut about 5/16-3/8th thick from the proline. So, one thing I did what smash the foams over again and again to get em flexible and work out the stiffness and stickyness of the adhesive I use. I used 3m 77 for the adhesive. |

| 3M FoamFast 74, or go visit an upholstery shop and get them to hit it for you. Adhesives designed for foam will be way more flexible, and are likely to retain their bond better, since it's designed to flex. Oh, and effin' awesome rig. |
