Mine is holding up just fine. Twisted off a front driveshaft but that's it

I don't have a TRX4 to compare to but this isn't a rtr either. I'm not a fan of rtr rigs personally, I'd rather build to suit with electronics of my preference based on how I will use the rig.

While i normally have no problems with stock driveshafts and use old style axial wild boars as upgrades for my crawlers, even with big brushless motors, i twisted off the front shaft and almost twisted off the rear on my cfx, with 1.55s and a silver can brushed motor. They are real weak for some reason

Agreed. I went with MIP wraith shafts and they fit perfectly on this rig

Hello everyone,

I am a newbie to this hobby and i would like to build my own crawler/scaler. There is a good deal on the mst cfx at the Atees webstorenat the moment but this offer ends in a few hours. I believe this is the thread for the cfx-w version but i hope someone can give me a answer....

I would like to know if the following electronics is a good combination to put in a mst cfx kit:

- Yeah Racing Tritronic 1/10 Waterproof 60A ESC w/ Hackmoto V2 45T Brushed Motor Combo Set #CB0815

- Power HD Waterproof 4.8-6.6V Super Torque Digital Servo 0.16sec/277.7oz-in/20kg-cm For Crawler/Buggy/On-road #LW-20MG

- wich pinion should i use with this setup? I like to go slow and crawl/trail.

Thank you and i am sorry if this post is in the wrong place. Considering the fact that this offer ends quickly i took my chances...

I would go with the 35T motor and use the stock pinion. Servo is fine.

So one year later this little rig is still doing just fine. Going to update the bed to the HC4 from a full kit I picked up for another build, go over it before the 2018 Motorama and run it in the ST (street Truck) class.

Knock on wood, I have over a 1000 gates on this truck and haven't had to open anything up yet, just replaced driveshafts in June due to a failure of stock plastic. The Exclusive RC CMS mount hasn't let me down either and is a great, easy upgrade for a class 1 truck.

Got the bed pretty well mocked into place.

Now all the fun of prep and paint, when it’s warmer of course.

Got primer on. Working on a tailgate and headache rack before paint.

The truck was flawless, I was not. Qualified 5th in the stock class and ended up 7th overall due to a photographer spooking me at the very last gate.... oh well. I look forward to putting many more miles on her this year and enjoying competing with a class 0 / ST capable rig!

I'd like to but I coach travel softball. Every weekend from Memorial Day to the beginning of August is booked. This is my last season after 2 daughters and 10 or so years. One is a junior playing at Lebanon Valley College and the other is a HS junior heading to Salisbury to play.
