| New Project with MST CFX-W
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I have worked with RC Electric and Nitro models mostly based on RTR, where I then applied some better ones. I want to start a complete project with an MST CFX-W Chassis. I have already read and reviewed details and improvements recommended for this type of chassis. But I have the doubt about the body. Most comment that I can use any Tamiya, Proline, etc. And there really is a great variety of interesting models, but my doubt is in the scale. Being the CFX-W 1/8, is it possible to place or use 1/10 scale bodies with this type of chassis? Like for example the body ProLine 1/10 Scale 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor or the model Jeep Rubicon? Thank. |

Hey man, welcome to the forum. You will find that even though MST markets the CFX-W as 1/8 scale, the wheelbase is in line with the ~300-315mm standard of Axial/Vaterra rigs, so all of the usual bodies will fit with minor adjustments to link length. MST markets the CFX-W as 1/8 scale to differentiate it from their CFX (which they call their 1/10 scale rig), which is a shorter wheelbase chassis designed for the smaller Tamiya bodies (FJ Cruiser, Landcruiser, etc). |

Thanks for replying, I have read talk about small adjustments. I understand, some adjustments are:
I will continue looking for some video that can show some clear orientation, so that I can order all the necessary pieces. |

It depends on what body you want to run. I'm not entirely sure if the standard rear body posts go high enough to run a Jeep Cherokee/Rubicon or other wagon type body. I'm just in the middle of building my MST CFX-W and should have it completed today, so I will measure the body posts and see how high they are able to go. |

I'll have that detail in mind. If the body does not bring them, I will buy them as additional to be safer. | |
