Default RCModelex - LC70 Component Chassis MST CFX & K5 Blazer ...

Hi All, back from a long time away from RC, but saw the Killerbodies LC70 shell recently here in the UK for a good price so had to buy it, even with no chassis in mind, then found this! the new Rcmodelex LC70 component chassis. its just been released, it uses a RCmodelex frame and 1/10 MST-CFX components, with the addidtion of MEX alloy links, shocks and hardware.

so I ordered it up!

wasn't sure what to expect on arrival, will it be prebuilt? nope this is how it arrived.

usual RCmodelex quality..

there are no instructions apart from what came with the CFX, the 1st two parts of the manual are building the gearbox and transfer case..

Gearbox

attached Using the CFX motor mount

transfer case

underside

to link the 2 together, you need to cut down one of the CFX driveshafts leaving just 8mm on the actual shaft

after a bit of messing about (had to take another 1mm of the shaft as it was too tight)

now turning nice and smooth!

more later!

First buy the cfx 1/10 kit and I rode it. Then buy the body.
And when I saw that Modelex sold loose the chassis buy it and still I have not recovered it.
So when I have it, we'll see.

I understand that the only problem is fitting the shafts of modelex into the mst box.

I too waited a while for my chassis to be delivered but it is worth the wait! they are hand made so I guess it takes time to fulfil orders etc, martin was very apologetic. as for the shafts, I did have a bit of messing around but nothing a dremel cannot fix

Thread name updated, awaiting parts for the LC70 so the K5 is getting some love, this way I can work on one while the other is at a standstill. Both came in the same delivery from RCModelex, but only just started it, few body on shots. not sure about the wheels atm!

was a bit tricky and messy but the blazer is gonna be an old beater, so the bad bits only add to the look
