That truly looks amazing!!! What a classy Rig. Looks GOOD sitting next to the Blazing Blazer too. I HAD one in 1984...... And STILL kick myself for letting it go.
Best of luck with it - and get the Tires dirty!!!

Those Samix parts look great, the high clearance titanium links are very nice, brass portal covers too! Big little Oly is looking great!

Couple more shots before the event this weekend. Got in some goodies from the Scale King at Exclusive RC and had to add them in.

Finishing the cage in blue like the Baja 1000 Big Oly Bronco set it over the top for me.

Hey man,
Awesome build, just a couple of questions. Can you show a couple pics of how you mounted the winch up front and was your Wertymade stinger pre built with a fairlead? I need to figure out how to run a winch on my rig and I am running the same bumper up front.

Really nicely done. The funny thing about all this is that you basically did what I've been planning to do with my 2nd CFX-W kit. I've also got the 66 bronco body lined up and 300mm Samix links. Planning on getting the rest of the Samix stuff now.

You went all out and did 4WS too!

I actually used a piece of lexan to mount the winch through the stock bumper plate. I mounted the fairlead myself and cut the slot with a dremel cutoff wheel.

Small update before taking it to Blue Rocks G6.
Not much but did add lights to the body’s factory locations and inner fender wells. Also cleaned up some of the electrics too.

More to add soon!

You’re doing Parnelli proud! I like the Scoop Vessels Chevy Blazer too!

Big Oly is reborn after a year on the shelf. This time on the VS410 Pro.
Using the Castle Micro X and Slate 2850, Reefs 444 and 422HD servo winch with PowerHobby batteries.
Had to obviously reconfigure the 410 Pro a bit to get the body to sit as low as possible. Worked out really well. The PowerHobby 3S 3300msh lipo is perfect and very low profile.

Heading to The Fix to certify the batteries and some very excellent lighting from MyTrickRC.

Dual volt meters, battery and the Castle 2.0 BEC powering both servo and winch let me know what’s going on during the 12hrs on the trail.

Right On! It was great before the upgrade but I bet that new chassis has made it one heck of a crawler. It does need the "wing" on top IMHO. Those interior gauges from Exclusive RC are amazing great attention to detail. Gotta post some new video of it too! Thanks for sharing.

The Fix is a brutal test of man (woman) and machine.
Big Oly handled it without issue, never need a repair or bolt tightened the entire 12 hours and 23 miles we completed.
Only 6 battery swaps is a testament to both PowerHobby batteries, their charger, and the efficiency of the 410Pro.

I managed to win the 4800 class (4.75 tire) as well. Not having mechanical issues was the key to staying on the trails and logging miles.

A well planned build with quality parts like Reefs RC, Castle Creations, Vanquish RC, and MyTrickRC are a must for events like these.

Time to go through Oly for service inspection and I don’t expect anything beyond cleaning and re-greasing.
