I am currently running the stock shocks and my rig is a bit heavy on the front end and I have very little travel. I was thinking about changing the hoops or shocks. Either going to a 80mm shock (but not sure what to go with) or design my own hoop with more mounting positions to raise the front end a little bit. I have the Lexan FJ40 with roof rack and planning on a tire carrier for the rear at some point. Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Had the same problem on my hard JK bodied CFX. Went to 70mm Kings. Work perfectly with plenty of travel and good ride height and look good too.

I knew King’s were probably a good option. I’m not a huge fan of the blue anodizing. If they were silver/black/dark gray. Is there a easy way to remove anodizing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I redesigned my CMS to squeeze a few more millimeters of up travel (it’s on the printer). So the pumpkin will have more room to travel now. I am also designing a new shock hoop to give me some mounting options. So if I want to do a droop setup with a longer (80-90mm) shock I can. Im looking into a wrangler build on the CMX chassis but looking to upgrade the shocks. Was thinking 70 or 80mm pitbulls. Im going with a scale build, Will the chassis run OK with 80mm or best to stick with 70's? |
