Default Good, better, best shocks for CFX/CMX?

I am currently running the stock shocks and my rig is a bit heavy on the front end and I have very little travel. I was thinking about changing the hoops or shocks. Either going to a 80mm shock (but not sure what to go with) or design my own hoop with more mounting positions to raise the front end a little bit. I have the Lexan FJ40 with roof rack and planning on a tire carrier for the rear at some point. Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?

Had the same problem on my hard JK bodied CFX. Went to 70mm Kings. Work perfectly with plenty of travel and good ride height and look good too.

I knew King’s were probably a good option. I’m not a huge fan of the blue anodizing. If they were silver/black/dark gray. Is there a easy way to remove anodizing?

I've read that oven cleaner will remove anodizing...haven't tried it personally.

The new proline shocks look very good and either 70mm or 90mm

They sure do, but the OP didn't like the anodized blue...the new Pro-Line ones have blue parts, and they cost $20/pair more than Kings. Just sayin'...

I redesigned my CMS to squeeze a few more millimeters of up travel (it’s on the printer). So the pumpkin will have more room to travel now. I am also designing a new shock hoop to give me some mounting options. So if I want to do a droop setup with a longer (80-90mm) shock I can.

Im looking into a wrangler build on the CMX chassis but looking to upgrade the shocks. Was thinking 70 or 80mm pitbulls.

Im going with a scale build, Will the chassis run OK with 80mm or best to stick with 70's?

I have the 80mm ones, TC80, sold under MST brand, replacing the 70mm stock shocks.

In my opinion they act smoother, rises the clearance to ground a bit in CFX.
