Default CFX-W Axle Shaft issue

I was wondering if anyone has had issues with the internal axle shaft on the CFX-W? I have broken 3 of them under what I call normal use.

I have tried to contact MST on facebook and they do not respond. I also contacted Asiatees and the cannot help except provide the part number to replace the part.

So far I have spent almost $100.00.

Thanks!

No issues on my end. What kind of power and how heavy is your truck?

Pictures of axles?

Their axles are terrible. I keep blowing the portal gears. I am running brushless. It’s an inferior design. I have a beautiful unimog that I can’t run.

This sort of failure is inexcusable.

I'm running 35T Brushed and fairly light. That's probably why I haven't had any issues.

I’m running 27t on a lexan body and I haven’t any problem.

I am running a 35t motor , the truck does have a weighted wheels up front also the battery is moved forward. If I had to guess, it would be about an 8 lbs rig.

Thanks

I've just had mine about to build with front weighted heavily to run with 30t torquemaster exp driven by HH brxl! Any heads up or do's n don'ts with this rig will be highly appreciated.

I have had my Cfx-w with lexan CJ body for two years now, on any terrain from hiking in the woods to rockcrawling on rocky seashore, and it's been perfect! (knocking on wood...)
To my experience this is a great little chassis that works well in light vehicles.
Heavy rigs and lots of power don't match the tiny gears, but they are perfect under a lightweight body with just enough power to be nimble to drive

My CJ, just to give some numbers, weights a mere 5,5lbs, with Rc4wd steel snowflakes without any weight and TSL's, Mamba MicroX driving a small 2836 outrunner (Aerodrive SK3) on 3s 2200, which provides abt.400W of power.
Before that I've used 600 sized brushed 27t on BRXL, same 3s lipo, and weight was just shy of 6,5lbs.

I love this nimble rig with portals, but would not recommend it for anything heavier than this.
Wants to build a heavy Unimog style rig 8plus lbs? go Trx4 route.
Cfx-w is for lightweight jeeps or bugs, not for trucks

I do agree a heavy rig may cause the issue with this. I have the battery up front along with weighted wheels. It could be to heavy!

Well, not sure about shimming, they have come out with a hardened replacement since there were some many issues and complaints.
