Default CFX going hopped up

Hello!

I've recently acquired a used CFX but in great condition. It was only ran in a garage and mostly was for display.

It came with 2 sets of beadlock wheels and tires

Gathered parts

Unfortunately the front and rear aluminum bumper mounts for SCX10 didn't fit. So back to stock (for now).

Let's build...

SPT 5525LV servo with aluminum servo mounts

Full ball bearing. Will eventually upgrade to all rubber sealed bearings

Installed these aluminum shock mounts

I opted to use these blue shocks. Replaced the pistons and used Yeah Racing 3 holes and YR o-rings too.

Replaced all plastic suspension links with YR (40mm upper, 50mm lower) and replaced plastic drive shafts to steel (front and rear)

Custom fitted and shortened this RC4WD side trays

Installed an RX box (Tamiya)

Reconfigured and retro fitted this carbon fiber battery tray

Side trays and 3D printed fenders arrived this morning. Installed them right away as soon as I got back home. Too much excitement. Haha!

Nice looking build!

I dont personally have any experience with a MST chassis, but their bodies are just way cool. I have actually purchased a couple of their bodies. Now i think I want this one too ...lol. There is something different about it in the current landscape of 1/10 RC.

look forward to some pics of it out crawling

Installed the electronics today and she's finally a runner.

Shortened the motor and battery wires, installed braided sleeves and bullet connectors.

Soldered female bullet to the motor

This AFRC Sanwa compatible receiver works great!

Testing...

Love how this little beauty turned out. But still waiting for few more parts. Steel center drive shaft, aluminum steering links, steel pivot balls for suspension links, aluminum center skid plate, etc

Thank you! I'm sure it is. I'll be doing light crawling and trail with my daughter's CC-01 that I customized.

Lights done for now. Will add more once I get the rear bumper

I replaced the rear LEDs with lower intensity bulbs red and orange. The stock are super bright LEDs.

The lights are controlled via aux channels 3 & 4 using a light switch board connected to the receiver.

Installed magnet body mounts. So much better and easier than putting those pins and taking them off.*

I created a magnet mount for the rear from*a 2mm carbon fiber board. I still used the stock body posts.
