I think that bumper looks awesome! Gives the defender a more aggressive look.

God is love

Yeah I'm liking it the more I look at it.

Got most of the cage done today, fairly pleased with it. What do you all think?

Got the final to bars added to the front today

Still need to grind it down and get it looking perfect

In the mean time, got some primer down. Next step will be sanding down all the mould lines and imperfections.

Finally got the front links finished today

Also did some trimming on the body mount bracket as it the servo was hitting it on full compression. Love how snuggly it fits haha

Also primed and painted the roll cage today. I really find hanging items to be painted be be the best option. That way you can paint it all in one go

More masking and painting of the windows.

Haven't particularly like the look of the head light surrounds and grille. The fake chrome looks terrible to be honest. Time for the chrome to dissolve away.

Also saw this beauty last night, couldn't resist taking a few snaps

Great idea with the link measuring tool. I'll have to think of that next time i have to make links and make it so it could measure different WB like make it longer and add more holes.

Let the aging process begin...

To create this effect, I used a hobby knife to cut/score lines into the plastic. You could also cut some pieces deeper and push sections through.

My first attempt at a "wash" tonight. Really happy with it. Still need to add more.

Just realized I used water based paint...might not have been the best option if the car is going to get wet at all

Made some vents today. Started by cutting out some steel to fit. The steel bits I had were very rough so they are perfect for the look I'm trying to achieve

Drilled holes on the corners and cut between the holes

Cut up some black mesh that I had and sanded of the black paint

I then cut out the fuel cap surround and started to make my own out of aluminium

Also shaved off those nasty looking tabs that hold the windows in

Thanks a lot guys!
I added the grille and light surrounds today. For those of you interested, I initially tried using Cola to get rid of the chrome plating. Well, that didn't work lol. So I went and got some oven cleaner and it worked a treat! I also added a little metal mesh to the back of the grille to give it some more realism

Also got the fuel cap added

A bit more detailing today

Got the interior in. Had to hack it up quite a bit to fit properly

In other news, found this today when looking for a present for my nephews birthday. Couldn't resist
