Im still using stock links, i dunno what the fuss is about! For driveshafts i have cut down the extended male shaft cause its much stronger and used that for the rear axle, and for the front i have a cut down traxxas slash shaft, which popped onto the stock yoke. Its bulletproof now.

Here is what I have so far for a bumper. I wish scalerfab made bumpers for this model.

You can use bumpers for Axial SCX10/10.2

Here's what I've broken on my CMX.

Front, rear, extanded rear driveshafts.
Upgraded with Axial WB driveshafts.

Front CVD's.
These were advertised as 45 degrees but I think they redesigned them to increase strength as all the new kits show 40 degrees. I upgraded mine to modified ascender CVD'S which are substantially stronger but have a slightly reduced steering angle. I have not noticed it much while driving on tight technical trails.

Shocks leak (like all plastic bodied shocks) and will get green slime in the cartridge.

My kit came with bronze bushings so I did upgrade to a full ball bearing set. The stock bushings it came with will last for awhile if you can't afford it up front but like all kits, it is a highly recommended upgrade.

Somehow sand occasionally gets into the spur gear cover. This will get tossed.

Aside from those issues, this kit is 100% stock and performs awesome. It's pedictable handling has exceeded my expectations for a tiny tire truck with such a short wheelbase.

I changed all the stock electronics and the shafts to the wb shafts also. I have added bearings threw out. I had to make a few changes to get the beef patties to fit tho.

That’s odd, I’ve got three of these and none exhibit much if any torque steer at all.
