I do not have one of the plates, but MaxAmps lists the dimensions of all their packs on their site

Hey if you can post up the dimensions of the tray. My MRC will hopefully be here this week sometime. Then it's onto the mini slingshot build.

3 cell li-po's are 11.1 volts 2 cell packs are 7.4 volts. And both can be used in 2.2 comps. Right now the 1.9 class is limited to 2S packs only.

Last time I looked at the rules, there were no rules on batteries for 2.2's.
You could run a 12 volt car battery if you can fit it on your rig ;)
I could be wrong, but I've never seen a 3 cell lipo at less then 11.1 volts.

Actually right now single 3.7 cells are taking off in 1/12th scale pan cars. But for the most part 2S , 3S and the occasional 4S packs are the basics for the 2.2 class.

Well that will depend on what battery location you use. If you go with the front servo/battery tray from axial you can get 30 minutes or more with a 2S 1100 here: http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...4-Pack&cat=205

If you want well over and hour go with the 2S 2000 here: http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...4-Pack&cat=205

Both of those will fit on that front servo/battery tray.

And make sure not to get anything more than a 2s lipo as the Rooster can not accept 3s.
