After breaking the 3mm shaft on my castle 4 pole 3850 motor I bought the trackstar 150A esc and 4 pole 4250kv motor with a 5mm shaft. No overheating and no shaft breakage.

Thought this would be fun..

-BWD chassis build= sct w/3800kv see thread 2s/3s
- FoFF build =sct w/3800kv see thread- 3s
- stampede 4x4 = mamba monster w/ vanguard 3100kv 3 s
-losi 22b = sidewinder w/5700kv
-RjSpeed late model = sidewinder 5700
hpi rs4mt = sidewinder with 3800kv
hpi rs4mt = sidewinder with 7700kv

daughters:

-losi scb = duratrax element 3900kv set to 60% power via castle link

When I ordered my first 150A esc I screwed up and bought the programming card for the 120A. I think I'll order the 120A and see 4 pole 3250kv for the basher.

The trackstar feels smoother than my gen 1 rx8. I've been very happy with my choice.

Castle mamba max pro and Lrp octawind 8.5 in my ridgecrest monster. even with monster truck tires its very light weight so doesn't need the big 1/8 system. I also have a castle sidewinder in my retro clod with 2 45t motors(class rules) I run castle in everything except my b5m and the only reason I don't in it is because they don't fit
