Just a simple mud truck With all the rain ive been getting in my area i decided i needed a new mud truck. Ever since i saw rcbros burly mud truck conversion i knew it would be my next mud truck project. I haven't decided on a body yet so a honcho will be used for mock up. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps4qdlyquc.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...pspdpb2cgy.jpghttp://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...psjwm6er27.jpg |

Thanks for looking. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...psimd17iw9.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...psdvsi7vmt.jpg |
Re: Just a simple mud truck why not put a sensored 13.5 in it? |
Re: Just a simple mud truck Im reusing the esc and brushless motor from my old mud truck. |
Re: Just a simple mud truck Small update. I picked up a front sway bar meant for a wraith for the rear, seems to work. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...psneccntqj.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...psqes9mcnt.jpg |
Re: Just a simple mud truck Got a new body  Also electronics are in. I decided to go with a Holmes water proof 3300kv system on 3s. All thats left is final mounting of body and esc, smaller spur gear. Thanks for looking. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...pslbqajddi.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...psukqap6mn.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps8fepu9bu.jpg |
Re: Just a simple mud truck Looks good |
Re: Just a simple mud truck Thanks man. |
Re: Just a simple mud truck Truck is looking good. how does it do in the mud? got any action shots? I've been thinking about building a mud toy myself. Just having a hard time finding a chassis i like and can afford. |
Re: Just a simple mud truck Havent got in the mud yet, its coming. I went this route for performance and simplicity. I highly recommend a sway bar in the rear and the battery mounted across the frame rails behind the front shock tower. Testing in the front yard with the setup i mentioned allows me to make controllable full throttle take offs with out lifting the front end. Thanks again for looking. |
Re: Just a simple mud truck looks good, is it tamiya ps-23? |
Re: Just a simple mud truck Im not sure. I got the body in a partial trade. |

Re: Just a simple mud truck Small update kinda. Decided to rebuild the trans, it felt a little crunchy. And im glad i did all but one bearing was pretty far gone. Also i put in a Locked up slipper clutch eliminator because slippers suck. http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...pswucyihy4.jpg |
Re: Just a simple mud truck I decided to bring this truck back and completely rebuild it. After killing the motor and ring and pinions, i decided to build new scx10 axles with XR wide beef tubes. Also im changing the body to the tfl racing bronco since i couldnt sell it. For now im in the mock up phase. Im thinking of going with a 13in wb. Thanks for looking. Oh and i got these tire at todays comp and swap, doese any one know anything about these tires? Ive seen them before thanks http://i.imgur.com/RaR29dSl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rY4vQkcl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/tmBKMyXl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/G6WCf6Gl.jpg |
