I just got my axles and transfer case in from them. nice to see a chassis come out!

great quality machined parts for the money you spend on their stuff.

I know. But, I have a wraith based monster truck with bombproof transmission and bombproof ar60 axles. Could always sell the ar60 axles to get that axles. Just more food for my thoughts.

Ar60s don't hold up if you open the diffs, the freestyles use Traxxas internals and are stout, I have 2 sets. I was told the chassis will be available in July and preorders will begin soon on their website.

Hi Rowdy -- just wondering as I have most of the parts for my AR60-based build, what breaks in the axles with open diffs? I've heard MT's put a lot of stress on locked axles, but not so much with the open ones?

Back on topic, those are some amazing products, especially the axles. I wish I had the cash...

Thanks,
Steve

I do run these as open diffs as it is the only weak area and diffs gears are cheap to replace when broken.

The spider gears in the diff break on the Axials, they are cheap but if your racing losing because of cheap parts stinks. If your just bashing and don't mind replacing them often then go have fun, that's what it's all about.

Thanks, much appreciated! Just bashing. So, the HPI spider gears are no stronger?

Looking forward to seeing a build based on Freestyle's new chassis! Cool stuff.

Not sure, I have broken the HPIs too, I do know the HPI Blitz spiders are a little beefier than the HPI RS4 gears some use.

If you do not get an answer soon post the question directly on the FB page.
