The FS trans is awesome, I have 2 of them as well as 3 sets of his axles.

Chassis looks great! Years ago a buddy of mine cased a double and broke both his arms and yes his girlfriend did have to wipe his butt.

Test run aftermath.. After running the truck I was impressed on how stable it was. I really had to provoke it to manage to flip it over. The acceleration was spot on what I was after and I found the weak link in the drivetrain (cureently ) ). I did however find one other thing that needed changing: That's some JDM-tire-stretching-action right there... and it has to go.. So i ordered some of this: RC4WD 14mm hex Clodbuster wheel adapters. All I had to do was to.. So they' fit like so: The fit was excellent, and wheels are on their way.. |

Attack of the Clod wheels.... Me & JC drilled the centres out to 18mm, so removing the wheel is a "one nut operation". We ran a test hole pattern to match the RC4WD pattern (ø28, 6 holes). The end result looked like this... OK time for a test fit; DANG, the wheel is rubbing the rod ends... back to the drawingboard. SPACERS happend.. Clearance happend Current look. Now, does anyone have any tips when it comes to getting some gray on those wheels? Painting or something esle? |

Photobucket changed their Terms Of Service agreement in the last couple of weeks. Now the only way to have pics linked from them is to pay their extortion... err I mean fee for their remote hosting which is $400 per year. No joke, they really did it. Fawk photobucket.

@strap624 Thanks for the feedback. Good to see that I'm not going insane :-) @WHITE-TRASH I saw it, but could not believe it... 400 yankee rubles for sharing content that I made, while they made money on the adds on their page... #Capitalism-Fail !! :-) Time to find out who their competition is and see if there is any good alternatives... Tips anyone?? Jon |

Imgur is pretty good. Takes some getting used to but they allow boobies so it's totally worth the switch. |

Strange, I'm using photobucket with no issues. The pics on my build thread are showing up just fine.

@strap624 I think it might be a finite number of shared pictures that I've reached... Not certain... oh well, perhaps I should just start a youtube chanell? I'm making a new Formula Offroad chassis soon and I'm planing a new tube chassis monster truck start up next year.. |

Progress !!! ctrl+alt+green: Quick mock-up: Think it came out pretty good, it is my second tube chassis build and I'm starting to think about switching over to a TIG welder. This project has shown me where the limitations of silver soldering appear. When multiple tubes meet at the same points and heat distortion is difficult to controll. If I used a smaller torch it might be easier, but would be another investment on the way to a Tig welder anyways... Future plans is to finish this build and make a overview/running video. Also another project is in the making... (CAD work in progress). |

| Re: 1/8 scale Grave Digger I had that issue too. I had to contact the site owner. I forget how I did it, but he got it fixed. It's odd and a shame they haven't straightened that out. That site is barely hanging on so they can't afford to turn away new users.

@sawback and @JatoTheRipper The reason I posted on this forum in the first place was because of my formula offroad build. Also, I really like the interaction here on rccrawler, lots of cool, positive people. I might consider adding my next monster truck build on a couple of other forums. Not to give it all away, but here is a couple of keywords: Digger Axles, Freestyle RC (swaybars & trans), tube chassis (my own CAD design), TIG? (maybe), youtube channel, in depth build series, 1/8th scale. Which truck, not certain yet. But first I got to finnish this build and a couple of other things that must come before my hobby..
