| What parts to get with SMT-10 Grave Digger
So I'm going to get a Axial Grave Digger soon. What parts are prone to breaking, that I should get right from the get go? Also has anyone ran, Clod size tires, and if so does it hold up? Most likely, I'll be tracking down a set of USA-1 Nitro Wheels, and USA-1 Electric Tires. One more thing. Is there a functional heat sink available for motor? If you're going brushless, you're going to need steel gears in the trans. I already busted that new steering linkage. That really beefy one. Unfortunately, that part isn't available yet, so I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs. |

Thanks for input, so steering links need upgrade from get go. Anything else breaking regularly? I'll go brushless eventually , but for now just stick with gearing and 3s Anyone using SPC lipos? |

I think I'm going with Proline Brawler wheels, with RC4wd The Rumble Monster Truck Racing Tires. Anyone know what that assembly weighs?

Check Axial and Tower - new version of the SMT10 coming, the MAX-D - complete with the (silly) chrome spikes and whatnot... might look cool without them added... I'd like to see a clear body released without the accessories and paint it a different color. Due in October! |

I wonder who else makes a tierod for the AR60 axles. What is it about Axial that they can't get their plastics right?

^^^ It'd be nice to see RPM make more Axial-specific parts... And I can't believe I forgot about Goldberg! |

Aluminium Lower links. The stock Yeti links will start to fold quite quickly. I found out that Tamiya TXT2/Agrios 99mm lower links with AX80057 part 5 (the rod-ends) drilled/reamed to fit on 4mm thread are a good looking option if one decides to fit the shocks to the axle, instead of the lower links. It would also work with any other 100mm, threaded links You'll have to find a solution for the swaybars, though. I used HotRacing sways in the original sway position, but with the arms reversed, i.e to the back. With the shocks spaced-out at the top with about 5mm, you can juuùst fit the sway-arms behind it. Same would obviously work with Axial's aluminium sways for the Wraith too. You should also consider replacing the idler gear in the gearbox to a steel one. I wore the idler out in about an hour. Or go all-out steel for the gears. Last edited by Jay-Em; 09-27-2016 at 10:05 PM. |

Front aftermarket steering links. Axial brand aluminum steering upgrade, or RC4wd Kit? Also who makes the lightest metal tranny gears? I need to put together a list of things I need right from get go. Last edited by USA1; 10-14-2016 at 09:13 AM. |

- Not sure they're the lightest, but they are light and strong. I used them in my Wraith kit build, which runs brushless. I'll likely use them again, if I get an SMT10.
