I ordered one for my SMT, I have a hitec 7950 on it and figured better to be safe than roach a $120 servo. Although I have a 7950 on my Bomber which I beat the absolute sh!t out of and have never had an issue. But I don't run clod size tires on my Bomber...

I have a hard enough time tracking straight when racing, servos savers make it even harder. |

I have had good luck with the Hot Bodies HBS112755, only issue is they are on back order right now!!! On a side note I had a TS-170 split a HR Aluminum Servo horn on Sunday with no damage to the servo!!! |

My TS170 is from 2005 and is still going after being run in monster trucks, 1/8 buggies, truggies, and crawlers (although it lives an easier life now in a small tire scale truck). | |

The savox 1283 is a good servo it's too bad your order didn't work out. The 1230 and 1231 are crap, don't waste your time with big tires you'll break the case. The promodler 420 is solid, I'll say straight up its the best basher servo I've had the pleasure of using so far. I'll take it over the power hungry holmes shv500 every time. |

I ordered 2 of the TS-170 servos with the $15 off coupons. $70 a piece isn't bad.

My Grave Digger is making a grinding sound and I'm pretty sure it's coming from one of the axles. Which gears do you guys recommending upgrading to? Standard HD, OD, or UD?

Yep, and since I knew I'd be using bigger tires and gearing up is always an option it was a no brainer. Not even considering the theory that the UD gears have the best mesh.

I decided to go with the HD gears, but with the standard gearing. I'm happy with the current speed and acceleration and I don't remember the torque twist bothering me even with JConcepts Firestorm tires.

I had the Digger out today. I love this truck. Right now it's more fun than my Monster Bolt even though this truck doesn't have 4WS. I'm glad I went with the stock axle gearing because I think it's the perfect speed. 20170218_122420 20170218_122543 |
