Default BWD Beast Build

Started a new build.

BWD Beast Chassis
AR60 Axles out of a Poison Spyder kit
HR tetal trans
170mm links all around
Savage shocks all around for now

I'm trying to figure out a driveshaft solution. I would like to use MIP but I'm not sure if they make any driveshafts long enough. Distance between pin hole to pin hole is 6" full compressed and 6.5" at full droop. Anyone have an idea of how long the yeti driveshaft kit is?

Traxxas Tmaxx shafts are always a good option..light and strong and long!

Supershafty do offer extended length driveshafts and extended outputs. Looking forward to this build as I have the beast chassis and waiting for my Freesysle RC axles to arrive, hopefully this Monday. Been a real long wait for the axles.

Installed some hot racing 6mm offset 17mm hubs. Sorry for the terrible pic. More pics to come tonight!

Has anyone had any experience with RC4WD punisher shafts? Im considering them over mip's because they will be around half the cost.

Gave up on the big wheels/ Tires.... Spent countless hours on this this weekend, made what seems 1,000 changes and little tweaks. I think the goal has been Achieved 1/2 monster 1/2 Crawler. I am absolutely amazed at this trucks performance. Crawls nice and smooth, no cogging. I'm floored that a truck with this wheel base gets, can get up and over obsticles that it did this AM. Truck is just right as far as speed on 3s. Decided to Leave the body tall in case I did decied to switch to a Monster truck tire.

Me and the boy took it down to our creek this am,we both agree'd that we needed some bigger tires for a few mud sections.... Stole some tires/wheels from my clod.... Had an absolute blast! Got back, made some hot Chocolate!

Been swapping some monster truck parts around recently, decided to give the Beast a rebirth.... Scored a new set of SMT axles from one of my SMT's, threw on Vanquish Scale C Hubs, Lockers front and Rear, Underdrive HD gears front and rear.... Grabbed a set of brawlers from the LHS, mounted up some Clod tires and walaaa! Pure fun! Best part is, It just wont break. 3s it is completely out of control, been thinking about picking up some swaybars for it.

Except the congrats for the beast of course, I must say you are very lucky raising your son in such a nice, natural environment! All I can see outside my window is concrete...

Thanks! I am extremely lucky. My son, myself and my nephews spend as much time as possible in the woods appreciating simple things. For me it is the only way to be truly happy.
