Default Been working on a Gen 2 Beast kit...

So, for a while now, I have had the idea for a 2nd gen Beast chassis kit...something with one piece sides, bolt on optional shock hangers, and even bolt on cab options...all adjustable. Here's what I've come up with...video will be dropping first of the week. I've still got to make up some mega tire/wheels to throw on for grins as well.

I've been wanting to do this for so long that I got the VP sway bars to try on it something like a year ago.

Anyway, on to the pics.

That's awesome! How much suspension travel do you have with links that are parallel to the ground?

If you are racing it isn't about suspension travel.

Given the shocks I'm running, mounting locations, wheelbase, etc, I have this one set up with 0.9" of total vertical chassis travel, from compressed to uncompressed. Here's also a shot of the flex given the current setup. Working to shoot videos over the next day or two.

Flex is pretty good.

Do racing guys not jump much? Or are they all small (scale) jumps?

They are mostly small scale size jumps.

That is freaking rad! I've been looking for an excuse to get into a monster truck build and I have everything but a chassis... Just sayin.

As you can see from the optional hole locations, plus some other shock towers that are included but not shown here, a user can build in much more travel if that's what is desired. That said, my Beast 1 was set up the same way and not only handled the jumps beautifully, it also handled like it was on rails with a Tekin RX8/Pro4HD combo on 3s (which is the same system I'm running on this one). The video is coming this week for sure!

Thanks my friend...I was looking for an excuse to finally take this thing from my head to remote in my hands...even if only for my own amusement...but it is turning out very nice and I'm glad to have friends take a liking to it so far. You contact me directly when you're ready to build one up.

Most MT racing courses i seen has a minimum of 2 jumping ramps no taller than a foot or maybe a foot and half. So jumping is a big part of MT racing courses.

Loved my Beast chassis. Looking forward to your 2nd Gen chassis. Will it be avaiable soon?

Most of the jumps at the races I attend are 4-6 inches, with an occasional plastic skate board ramp for the finish.

Some trailing arms with multiple shock/swaybar location holes would be rad on this truck! Hows it look with a body, looks to be low and mean but will the tires clear, especially when turning?

I really wish we had MT racing here in SE PA. I watch the Trigger King videos and drool. I didn't realize most MT racing series used scale sized jumps.

The adjustability of the chassis sounds awesome.

The plan is to release it on the site this week

I'll be revealing some more about it over the next couple of days, including some of the options available including tall sides and cab for those who want the more scale MT body position. The goal of this chassis line, it to make it suit a variety of purposes, from fun trucks to racing MT. Lots will be trickling out over this week.

Thanks bud, it does seem MT is gaining ground in the market at the moment...hopefully racing becomes more common.

FYI, anyone who is legit racing MT, feel free to submit a resume if interested in becoming a team BW MT driver...which would only have to apply to MT chassis usage...no conflict issues with other RC disciplines.

I think I'm going to have to make an optional roof brace FPV camera mount
