| Mini monster builds?
anybody running mini monsters? og ax10 axles, tlt, wk axles? what is everybody using? ive got a plan to run xr wide og axles with a home made tvp setup similar to the tlt, but a bit bigger. is 11.25 inches to long of a wheelbase for mini monsters? just curious. as I might want to run solid axle mini monster with a local group.. my build is for a fun class at my local track. solid axle trucks running 3 laps no marshals on the clay/ dirt track. should be loads of fun pulling wheelies on the straights and doing backflips on the jumps. |

ive seen that chassis on FB, im a bit late to the rc side of solid axle MT's but its proving to be a deeper and more happier money pit than racing the norm.. I think I just dropped close to 250 on just shafts, tubes, and a trans. smells like fun lasting. |

I've considered doing this myself with wide XR modded SCX/AX axles, 2.2 MT tires, and Stampede sized lids. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/12th scale and an emphasis on home built chassis. It's the only way I can fit an MT track and freestyle course in my single car garage. Who knows, maybe I can get a few father/son teams together for some Friday night Monster action. its a good idea.. my chassis and xr wide ax10 axles are done. ill be working on links and shocks today. I bought a parma exciter body and marble it gun metal. ill be calling it lead foot. you want stampede front 2.2 rpm wheels all the way around to clear the knuckles. I squeezed a HR low profile sxc10 trans in the plates standing up. so the spacing on the inside of the plates is.. 50mm roughly. |
