Hello MT fans, I'd like to get my 1st solid axle monster truck for brushless bashing. Is there a better choice than the SMT10? Thanks, MP |

There's a kyosho Foxx roller in the for sale section. its the formula off road one, not the monster truck one, but similar. I don't know much about them but I've read decent things about them. I personally would get that over a smt10, only because my wraith seems to break every time I use it. But I have no real experience ( ownership) of a straight axle monster truck, just wanted to point out the kyosho for sale if it's something you've been looking at. What kind of brushless power are you talking - motor kv and battery? It will do brushless bashing, but it will have issues in stock form since the tranny gears are plastic and the open diffs in the axles need to be shimmed or locked. Also, do you plan on keeping the stock tires or upgrading to larger, 2.6 Clod sized? |

Check in with the guys on clod talk, there is decades of info on there for whats good for your use The name gets people thinking it just about clods on there, but it has tons info for any solid axle shaft driven too. |

After looking around bit more, I think my best bet will be a Mad Crusher VE. If I were to get a SMT10, I'd like to try a Max 8/2200 kv combo, but I think the Kyosho will need less $$ to get where I want it. Whatever I get, I defo will run big, Clod-style meats. I'm thinking 3.8 PL Mashers for the Crusher, but I have to look around a lot more. Thanks for stopping by, MP | |

You also may want to consider an MST MTX-1. I don't have any personal experience with them, but I've heard good things and they come RTR with brushless.
