| 4274SL Hobbywing in SMT10?
I have been all over the place with my ESC/motor choices for my SMT10 build. I have a Max 8 ESC that I would like to use, but it would also be nice to have the option to run 2s. If I want to run 2s, I would probably order a Max 10 SCT (120A)/4000kv combo. Another guy says I should try my first Castle. I'm confused. A local RC buddy who seems to know his stuff is recommending the 4274 1/8 scale Hobbywing motor (2200kv) that is normally paired with the Max 8 ESC. he says it would fit and that it would be fine with a 13t pinion on 3s. May I have your thoughts please? Thanks, MP Last edited by Mongol Pete; 08-02-2018 at 10:33 AM. |

I have been running a hobbywing WPSC-8 with 3500kv. Geared 14/56 right now with a 2s lipo. It has plenty of torque and speed. Had to gear it down from 16t pinion. That Esc has lots of adjustments. I'll be racing it this weekend. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |
