Default Smt10 discontinued

Does anyone know or have heard rumors of something replacing the smt10? Was waitingg for the right time to purchase one and of course that time was after discounting the truck. Now my other option that fits what I want is the ground pounder.

Sadly, Axial hasn't said anything yet. I really hope they do bring it back.
Maybe just a generic monster truck and Not "monster jam" related.

Anyways, you can still find SMT10's on eBay. That's where I had to go to find one for myself.
However, if you're going to go through eBay, I suggest doing it soon. People are starting to overcharge because they know it's discontinued.

Found a used Max-D for $380...

Otherwise, people a starting to overcharge for new ($500 and up)...

I don't see Axial bringing back the SMT10. I hope I'm wrong. But it didn't seem to be a big enough seller for them to care about. It probably didn't sell well because it was a slow and weak POS out of the box.

I'm hoping to see it come back. I would think it was discontinued because the Monster Jam license expired so I'm thinking they can bring it back with a more generic body. I would also think they are listening to people and would include a brushless system and probably upgrade the transmission and maybe do something about the axles. I know I've personally gone through 4 or 5 sets of bevel gears and 3 sets of axle shafts. Hoping Axial doesn't just completely drop this platform

The best way to get a product to comeback is to email the company and request it.

Email them and tell them we want the SMT10 back! Preferably a builder's kit IMO.

Sell a builder's kit that let's the buyer choose their wheel/tires, body, and electronics. Include HD gears and all the pieces for 4-wheel steering (dogbones are fine since you don't need extreme angles).

I was told by a Horizon Rep at the no limit rc of va monster truck finals last weekend at the Diggers Dungeon that they will be available in the fall. He said new tires and better gears...to be honest he really didnt sound like he knew what he was talking about as far as the truck goes...But did confirm they will be re released in some form.

Well damnit, I now know what my next R/C purchase might be since it looks like my Wheely King will likely no longer be supported.....................

The new Cen Rc MT line is where my money is going. I saw them in person last weekend and watched them run. They are fully invested with aluminum upgrades coming also.

Ok I'm just gonna say it...
SOMEBODY PUT THAT FORD CENTURION BODY ON A CRAWLER!!!

ok now that I got that out of the way...
If the smt10 came back... Yes better gears and maybe a kit... Let is choose the body. Cuz if I got one I would slap an old school Bigfoot body on it anyway. Just not sure if traxxas or jconcepts version.
My need for a scale accurate retrofoot is REAL.

So you saw it in person. How is it compared to an SMT10? Do you think it can handle brushless power and big jumps?

Yup, I saw them race. They actually raced 5 or 6 of them at once. Took big jumps just fine. It's more of a scale truck than the smt10. It should be fine on brushless, steel gears stock. But we will just have to see on that. It's faster than the smt10 box stock.

It looks like the axles are a bit narrower.
