I know it's fun right? They list it as having stiff racing suspension. I noticed another thing today. The battery holder has different adjustments so it's not all the way in the back. I moved it...much better doesn't wheelie as easy. More stable on jumps too. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |

Had a few packs through it in different surroundings. It’s solid. Even my rather clumsy pal couldn’t break it. It rolled, flipped landed crooked several times.. apart from some scuffing of the body, not a scratch. Motor, gearing and ESC are perfectly chosen. Even with ambient temps way above 35°C it just kept on going, pack after pack, even in (short) grass.. usually that strains every bit of motor and electronics to the max. I do not know if changing the gears around for ‘speed’ will heat-up everything too much. Not going to try. The current speed and power with the stock 15t 550 is plenty for me. ( You listening Axial?.. squeeze a 15t 550 in Your SMT10 re-release, not some wheezy 27t. Design a new skid plate to make it fit.. I don’t care, as long as there’s a stout 550 in it... oh, and metal gearbox gears, because Your plastic butter-gears will disintegrate with a 550) Still too harshly sprung for my taste, though. Going to experiment a bit with springs and oil. By the by, shocks didn’t leak a drop.. Not bad for an RTR. AFA size goes, it’s a perfect intermediate between a Wheely King, and a TXT ( got both) with the added bonus of lighter weight than the TXT ( = no mega power required to make it scoot about quite satisfactory) and better gears than the Wheely King. CEN did good imho. Last edited by Jay-Em; 09-29-2019 at 11:10 PM. |

I’m trying to decide between one of these CEN trucks or a Clodbuster. Anyone have any recommendations one way or the other? I do like the setup on the CEN but am worried about getting parts mostly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks. I’ll probably get both eventually but wanted to hear about the CEN first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You’ll be happy. I got both. And, indeed, different beasties. The Clod is rather big, compared with the CEN, mainly through the wheels. Which is fun, but also rather great is the simple fact that parts and tuning parts are nòt a problem whatsoever. Though, truth be told, the speed of a stock Clod, compared with the CEN is not that impressive, and to really get some scoot it’ll need at least 2 x 19t brushed motors. Also, big 550motors won’t fit, unless You replace all swingarms. Oh, and get at least a 20kg servo, stronger if You can afford it, otherwise it turns like a battlecruiser.

I built my Clod last weekend. Used a 20kg red. Didn’t turn worth a darn. I ended up using one of the big cross servo horns that came with the servo. Now it turns great, at least considering it still has stock rods. I like it for what it is and am quite happy. Once CEN becomes more common or at least it appears parts are readily available I’ll get one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
